CTC150 – Fav Big Shot Project – Holiday Catty

Stampin' Cat CTC150 Pretty Pines Quilt Top Embossing Folder

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.  It’s been another big week. Yesterday, myself and two of my demo friends, Lou & Megan, hosted a Craft Day Retreat at Purple Copper at Peregian Springs.  That combined with work, a medical procedure and a cold has me exhausted.  But not too tired to share this week’s CASEing the Catty project.

CTC150

You may have hopped over to me from Rose, I just loved her project.  This week we are CASEing our Favourite Big Shot Project from the Holiday Catty.  Hmm……I looked through the Catty 3 times before I decided what to CASE then chose the card on page 27.

Holiday Page 27

Now at first glance this card does not appear to have much Big Shot-ing (is that a word?) on it but my version does.

Stampin' Cat CTC150 Pretty Pines Quilt Top Embossing Folder

I used the largest Layering Oval to die cut the front of my card…..Big Shot.  I don’t have the Christmas Happiness Stamp Set but I do have Pretty Pines Thinlits.  I’ve die cut the pine leaves and pine cone rather than stamping them……Big Shot.   I’ve also  embossed the front of my card with the Quilt Top Embossing Folder so that’s heaps of Big Shot-ing.

I did a very light water colour wash in Soft Sky on some Water Colour paper and attached that to the inside of my card.  My pine cone is die cut from Copper Foil Sheet and my sentiment is heat embossed in Copper.

Next up in the crew hop is the very talented Megan.  Her project is just gorgeous.  Just click the next button to hop on over.

CTC149 – Year of Cheer – Pages 36-47

It’s Sunday night already, where did that week go.  Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop.  Whether you’re starting with me or you’ve hopped over from Rachel, make sure you check out all the crew’s fabulous projects.  We are CASEing the Year of Cheer section, pages 36-47.

CTC149

This is one of my favourite suites.  I love the DSP and the Washi Tape.  I’ve been inspired by the card on page 39.

Holiday page 39

I’ve used the Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies and teamed it with Year of Cheer DSP.

Stampin' Cat CTC149 Hometown Greetings

I’ve used Soft Suede as my card base.  I love how Soft Suede looks with gold, the two colours were made for each other lol.

Stampin' Cat CTC149 Hometown Greetings

I’ve die cut my images in Gold Foil card then layered the trees in Soft Suede and the snowman’s hat in Basic Black.  The smoke coming out the chimney is gold glitter.

Stampin' Cat CTC149 Hometown Greetings

I’ve added some gold Washi Tape under the black strip that’s behind the sentiment.  I hope you like today’s card.

Next on our hop is Kelly.  You’re going to love her project this week.  Just click on the next button to hop on over.

Stampin' Cat CI18 Painted Harvest

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today’s card is for the Colour INKspiration Challenge CI18.  The challenge colours are Basic Gray, Sahara Sand, Sweet Sugarplum and Powder Pink.  We can also use any neutrals such as Basic Black, Whisper White and Metallics.

CI18

I haven’t used my Embossing Paste for a while so I thought I’d team that with the Painted Harvest stamp set to create a card with this beautiful colour palette.

Stampin' Cat CI18 Painted Harvest

I’ve added some 7/8″ Striped Ribbon over the top of Powder Pink Finley Woven Ribbon.  The flower is stamped in Powder Pink and Sweet Sugarplum with a Sahara Sand centre.

The leaves are Basic Black Archival ink stamped on Champagne Foils Sheet and punched out with the Leaf Punch.

CTC148 – Kits and Memories & More – Both Catalogues

Hello and welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop.  You may have hopped over from Jackie, thanks for continuing on with me.

CTC148

This week we are CASEing the Kits and Memories & More section of both the Annual Catalogue or the Holiday Catalogue.  I’ve CASEd the “Hello” card on page 16 of the Annual Catalogue.

Annual page 16

I’ve kept the basic layout of this card but changed pretty much everything else.  That’s the great thing about CASEing the Catty, you can take inspiration from any part of a design.

Stampin' Cat CTC148 Sunshine Wishes

I’ve used Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder card stock and added some DSP from Merry Little Christmas.  The Copper Foil border has been created with the Ticket Tear Border Punch.

Stampin' Cat CTC148 Sunshine Wishes

I’ve used a strip of Year of Cheer Washi Tape on some Whisper White card stock then die cut the word “congrats” with Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  How cool does that look??

Stampin' Cat CTC148 Sunshine Wishes

Some Metallics Sequins finish off my card nicely.

Next on the hop is the very talented Kelly.

CTC147 – Christmas Around The World – Pages 28-35

Hello and welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop.  This week we are CASEing pages 28-35, Christmas Around the World.  You may have hopped over to me from Rose, thanks for continuing on.

CTC147

I’ve picked the card on the left hand side of page 35.  Here is my lovely assistant, Marvi, doing his best to point to the card.

Stampin' Cat CTC147 Merry Music

Is this better?

Holiday p35

I decided to change the colours and not make this card in the tradition red and green.

Stampin' Cat CTC147 Merry Music

As you know my favourite colours are black and white.  Add in a touch of silver and a hint of red and you have a very elegant card.

Stampin' Cat CTC147 Merry Music

I’ve used Merry Music Specialty DSP with a piece of Year of Cheer Washi Tape down each side.

Stampin' Cat CTC147 Merry Music

I heat embossed the sentiment from Oh, What Fun stamp set and added a cute little Red Glimmer Star.

Next on tonight’s hop is Rachel.  I know you’re going to just love her card.

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today’s card is for the Colour Inkspiration Challenge CI17.  The challenge is to create a card using Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Tempting Turquoise and Flirty Flamingo.  We can also use any neutrals such as Basic Black, Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Metallics.

CI17

These are not colours I would normally put together but I’m quite happy with my final design.

Stampin' Cat CI17 Seasonal Layers

I’ve used the Ticket Tear Border behind the sentiment.  The flowers are from Seasonal Layers Thinlits and the DSP is Eastern Palace.

CTC146 – Season of Glitz – Pages 20-27

It’s Sunday already and that means it’s CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop time.  I’ve spent the day with my family today celebrating my Mum’s Birthday.  We had Lunch at the local Tavern followed by Birthday Cake.  It was a great day.

This week we are CASEing the Season of Glitz section, pages 20-27.

CTC146

I’ve CASEd the card on page 24.

Holiday Catalogue Page 24

Again I’ve changed the colour and the orientation of the card.

Stampin' Cat CTC146 Beachy Little Christmas

I’ve used Beachy Little Christmas stamp set.  I love the palm trees and beach shack, it’s so Australian.

Stampin' Cat CTC146 Beachy Little Christmas

I stamped the Beach Shack in versa mark then embossed it in silver and fussy cut it.  I used some mini dimensionals to pop it up so it looked like it was sitting on the sand.

Stampin' Cat CTC146 Beachy Little Christmas

You can’t really see in my photo but I’ve used Clear Wink of Stella on the Christmas lights wrapped around the palm trees.

Next up is Rose.  Just click on the next button to have a look at her beautiful card.

CTC145 – Merry Little Christmas – Pages 10-19

Hi and welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop.  It’s been another exciting week at my house.  A few weeks ago I was evacuated from my home because of a bush fire.  This week I was catching a snake in my bathroom.  My lovely assistant, Marvi, thought he’d bring me a gift!!!  I think a lot of snakes have lost their homes after the bushfire as many of my neighbours have seen snakes around our neighbourhood.  Luckily it was only a harmless tree snake.

Snake

You may have just hopped over from Fi, thanks for continuing on with me.  This week we are CASEing the Merry Little Christmas section, pages 10-19 of the new 2017 Holiday Catalogue.

CTC145

I’ve chosen to CASE the top right card on page 14.

2017 Holiday Catalogue Page 14

2017 Holiday Catalogue Page 14

My favourite colours are black and white and my favourite Stampin’ Up! colour is Old Olive.  When I saw the Merry Little Christmas DSP I new I had to have some.  My three favourite colours in a DSP………..it’s like Stampin’ Up! have made it especially for me lol.

Stampin' Cat CTC145 Carols of Christmas

I’ve changed the colours and the orientation of the card.

Stampin' Cat CTC145 Carols of Christmas

How cute is this little gold deer?  He’s from the Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies.   Old Olive 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon was a perfect addition.

Stampin' Cat CTC145 Carols of Christmas

I’ve sponged White Craft Stampin’ Ink around my trees.  The Black and White DSP is the new Merry Music Specialty DSP.

I hope you like my card today.  Now it’s time to welcome back Kelly and hop over and check out her amazing card.

JOS #005 Challenge – The Letter “J”

JOS #005

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today’s card is for The Joy of Sets Challenge #005 – The Letter “J”.   You may use any Stampin’ Up! stamp set, new or retired, but there’s a twist.   There will be a new letter selected each fortnight and that letter must be in the name of the stamp set you use.  For this challenge the letter is “J”.

I only have one stamp set that fits this criteria and it’s called Jar of Love.

Stampin' Cat JOS #005 Jar of Love

I’ve made a waterfall card using Sweet Sugarplum card stock and the now retired Blooms and Bliss DSP.

When you pull on the ribbon each white panel flips over to reveal something different in the jar.  It’s very hard to take a video of this when you are home by yourself.  You have to hold the card with one hand, pull the ribbon with another hand……….hang on, there’s no hands left to hold the camera!!!

Photo’s will just have to do.

CTC144 – Quilted Christmas – Pages 4-9

Stampin' Cat CTC144 Quilted Christmas

Hello everyone and welcome to another CASEing the Catty Crew Blog Hop.  We are a group of demonstrators who love to take our inspiration from the amazing Stampin’ Up! Catalogues.  Each week we choose a different section of the Catalogue to CASE.

This week we are CASEing Quilted Christmas pages 4-9 from the new 2017 Holiday Catalogue.  You may have hopped over to me from Monique.  How gorgeous was her card?  Be sure to hop around to all of the blogs, you won’t want to miss a single project.

CTC144

I’ve chosen to CASE the red card at the top of our graphic.

2017 Holiday Catalogue Page 4

I’ve layered the Star Quilt shape three times in Basic Black, Whisper White and Silver Foil card.  Traditionally these star’s would have card/fabric pieced into them but I’ve kept them just as an outline.

Stampin' Cat CTC144 Quilted Christmas

I love the stitched pattern on the Quilted Christmas DSP.  It’s a very subtle pattern and matches the design of my stars perfectly.

Stampin' Cat CTC144 Quilted Christmas

I’ve used a white gel pen to add a stitched look to my holly leaves and my holly is punch in Red Glimmer Paper with the Holly Berry Builder Punch.

Marvi CTC144

I think Marvi was checking out the new Quilted Christmas Ribbon or maybe he was trying to pull off my stars.

Next up is Julia.  Just click on the next button and it will take you to her wonderful project.
