2017 Holiday Catalogue

As soon as I opened my new Catalogue I knew I had to have Christmas Quilt Bundle.   I can see all the quilters out there loving this set.

Quilted Christmas Suite

Quilt Builder Framelits Dies

I do like the traditional red and green Christmas colour scheme but I wanted to use this bundle with my favourite DSP from the Holiday Catalogue, Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I’ve made two versions of this card so I could use the positive and the negative of the stars.  I die cut one in Year of Cheer DSP and the other in the new Champagne Foil Sheets.

This one uses the DSP as the star.

Marvi ESAD

I hope you like my cards today.  Marvi is not sure which one he likes the best.  I think the one on the left might be his favourite as he has more paw on that one lol.

Angela is next up in the blog hop.  I know you’re going to love her project.  Just click on the next button and hop on over.

Thanks for stopping by.

ESAD Favourites from the 2017/2018 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue Blog Hop

ESAD Blog Hop

Thanks for joining me today along with 24 Stampin’ Up! demos.  We are showcasing our Favourites from the 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue.  If you came from the lovely Amity Knight, thanks for continuing on to me.  I hope you take time to make your way around the entire hop.   Once you’ve finished on my page click on the next button and hop on to Megan’s fabulous creations.

2017/2018 catalogue Stampin' Up!

It’s so hard to pick a favourite from this Catalogue.  My list of favourites grows every time I look on Pinterest or Facebook.  Who says you can only have one favourite???

So I looked through my Catalogue and when I got to page 96 my heart said I needed to use Ribbon of Courage as my favourite today.  This stamp set was inspired by Million $ Sales Achiever Patty Bennett.

Ribbon of Courage

So many people are affected by cancer.  Cancer recently took the life of my brother-in-law.  Four out of five members of my immediate family have survived cancer.  In 2012 I was diagnosed with Lymphoma and just last Tuesday I had my oncology checkup.  I’ve been in remission for nearly 5 years now.   So this is why I’ve chosen Ribbon of Courage as my favourite.

Each type of cancer is represented by a different coloured ribbon.  Lymphoma is Lime so I made a card using the new Lemon Lime Twist (this happens to be my favourite new In-Colour)

Stamping Cat Ribbon of Courage

I love the simplicity of this card.  Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Black and Whisper White.

Stamping Cat Ribbon of Courage

I’ve coloured the little hearts on the ribbon with my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker.

Next I thought I’d make a pink card which represents Breast cancer.

Stamping Cat Ribbon of Courage

I used Melon Mambo Water Colour Pencil and an Aqua Painter for the background.  This is my “Angel” using the die cut ribbon.

Stamping Cat Ribbon of Courage

I’ve used Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper as all “Angels” deserve to shine.

In my last card I’ve used Gold for Children’s cancer.

Stamping Cat Ribbon of Courage

I’ve heat embossed the ribbon in Gold embossing powder.  I’ve also used some of my favourite DSP, Bundle of Love.

Stamping Cat Ribbon of Courage

Now my ESAD Blog wouldn’t be complete without a picture of my assistant Marvi the Monster.   I don’t think he liked my angel because he pushed it off the table.

Marvi Marvi

I hope that you have enjoyed the cards I’ve made today.  Please feel free to leave me a comment.  Make sure you click on the next button and hop over to Megan’s inspiring project.

Thanks for stopping by.

ESAD 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek Blog Hop

ESAD Blog Hop

Thanks for joining me and 25 fellow demonstrators for ESAD’s 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek Blog Hop.  You may have hopped over to me after seeing Kim’s fabulous project.  When you’re finished on my page make sure you click on the next button and hop over to Sandra’s project.  You won’t want to miss out on any of these amazing creations.

Today we are giving you a Sneak Peek of some of the new products from the 2017/2018 annual catalogue.  Ordering from our new catalogue starts on the 1st June.  If you’d like a copy of the new catalogue please contact me through my website.

2017/2018 catalogue Stampin' Up!

Anyone that knows me knows I love earthy colours and texture so when I saw the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack I knew it would become a favourite.  This DSP is perfect to use with the Wood Crate Framelits but I thought it would also look great on cards.  I’ve paired it with the new Lovely Words Thinlits and the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

Wood Textures Lovely Words Stampin' Up!

Wood Textures Stampin' Up!

I’ve made the DSP the hero of the card.  I just love the texture of this piece.  I also added some to the inside.  I couldn’t stop there because the other side of this piece of DSP is just as amazing.

Wood Textures Lovely Words Stampin' Up!

Wood Textures Lovely Words Stampin' Up!

These cards were so quick and easy to make I thought “what else can I come up with using the Wood Textures DSP”.  I’m usually struggling to have one idea for a blog hop.  This hop I had to limit myself to four ideas lol

Wood Textures Lovely Words Stampin' Up!

How gorgeous is this new In Colour, Lemon Lime Twist?

Wood Textures Lovely Words Stampin' Up!

Or do you prefer Berry Burst?  I love how the Stitched Shapes Framelits co-ordinate so well with the Lovely Word Thinlits.

My assistant Marvi didn’t really have a favourite card as none of them had any Twine or Ribbon on them that he could pull off.  I think he was more interested in the camera today.

ESAD Eastern Palace Suite Blog Hop

ESAD Eastern Palace Suite Blog Hop

Thanks for joining me and 21 other demonstrators on ESAD’s Eastern Palace Suite Blog Hop.  You may have hopped over to me after seeing Cheryl’s great project.  When you’re finished on my page make sure you click on the next button and hop over to Maree’s project.  I’m sure you don’t want to miss out on any of these amazing creations.

Today we are highlighting the Eastern Palace Suite, available to purchase 1-31st May 2017.  Stampin’ Up! have released these products one month ahead of the new catalogue launch.  There are 2 Bundles available to purchase, the Starter Bundle or the Premier Bundle

Eastern Palace Bundles

The Starter Bundle come with a FREE pack of Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes and the Premier Bundle come with a FREE pack of Very Vanilla C6 Envelopes and a pack of Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock.  Who doesn’t love something for free?

My project uses the Window Box Thinlit Dies as well as the Eastern Medallions Thinlit Dies.  They work well together as the Eastern Medallions Dies fit perfectly with the Window Box Die.

Window Box Thinlit Die Eastern Palace Suite Stampin' Up!

I’ve used Smoky Slate for my Window Box and embellished it with Basic Black and Lemon Lime Twist.

Eastern Medallions Stampin' Up!

Eastern Medallions Stampin' Up!

I’ve alternated the die cuts on the side of the Window Box.  I’ve also added in some stamping from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set in Basic Black and Lemon Lime Twist and finished off each side with a Basic Rhinestone.

Window Box Thinlits Eastern Medallions Thinlits Stampin' Up!

My assistant Marvi was on hand for the photo shoot.  He inspected the box only to find nothing in it.  In fact, I think he poked his tongue out at it.

I had seen an amazing blog from Tricia Raineri and she had made some hexagonal cards to go in the Window Box.  I CASEd her idea and made 3 matching cards.

Eastern Palace Suite Stampin' Up!

Here is a picture of the box and matching cards together.

Eastern Palace Suite Stampin' Up!

Marvi wasn’t sold on the cards, judging by the look on his face, but I think they’re cute.  There was a bird on the fence that was much more interesting for him to look at.

Now it’s time to hop over to Maree’s blog and check out her wonderful project.

Thank’s for stopping by, I’d love if you left me a comment.

ESAD 2017 Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Blog Hop

Esad Header Photo

Thanks for joining us on ESAD’s 2017 Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Blog Hop.  You may have hopped over to me after seeing Nicole’s great project.  When you’ve finished on my page make sure you click on the next button to hop over to Rachael’s project.  I’m sure you don’t want to miss out on any of these amazing posts.

Today we are highlighting products from the new Occasions Catalogue and teaming them up with products from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue.  Both of these Catalogues are full of great new products.  During Sale-a-bration you get a free item of your choice from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue for every $90 you spend.  Who doesn’t love something for free?

I’ve chosen to use the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle (p26 Occasions) and Delicate Details Stamp Set (p9 SAB).  Now I’m sure you just looked at both of these sets and thought “they don’t really go together” but I hope to change your mind.  It’s obvious to pair Delicate Details with the Falling in Love suite but I wanted a challenge.

Dragonfly Card

I’ve used Tip Top Taupe as my card base and layered it with Night of Navy then added some Copper Foil as a border.

White Embossing

The Delicate Details Stamps have been heat embossed in white and the sentiment heat embossed in copper.

Spot backgroundLayered dragonfly

It’s hard to see in the photo but I’ve stamped some spots behind the dragonfly in Versa Mark.  The copper foil dragonfly has been layered with whisper white card stock.

Inside cardCloseup inside card

I’ve added some more spots on the inside of the card (these ones are much easier to see lol) and a sentiment and a small copper dragonfly.  Now my post wouldn’t be complete without a picture of my assistant Marvi……….

Marvi posingMarvi chewing dragonfly

Marvi is such a poser but as soon as I looked away……………….where did my copper dragonfly go?

Now it’s time to hop over to Rachael’s blog and check out her wonderful project.

Thank’s for stopping by, I’d love if you left me a comment

ESAD 2016 Holiday Catalogue Favourite Products Blog Hop

esad-2016-annual-catalogue-favourite-products-blog-hop-headerThanks for joining us on ESAD’s 2016 Holiday Catalogue Favourite Product Blog Hop. I had so much positive feedback from the last blog hop I thought I’d join in again. You may have hopped over to me after seeing Cathy Pinchbeck’s great project. Make sure you follow all the links to see everyones blog in this hop.

I’m using the Cookie Cutter Christmas Bundle for my card today. I just love the Teddy Bear from this stamp set and I’ve combined him with Santa, the Gingerbread Man and Eskimo to make a waterfall card.

Waterfall Card

I used Garden Green as my card base and layered it with the cute star DSP from Warmth & Cheer. I stamped all my images with Archival Black Ink on Crumb Cake card stock.

Santa Gingerbread Man Eskimo

I’ve used the Gold Wink of Stella to highlight a small part of each character and I’ve used the Kraft Rope Trim at the end of my tag. Every card needs a bit of bling so I gave my Teddy Bear a bow tie and my Gingerbread Man a heart using Gold Glimmer Paper. I also added a couple of gold stars to the front of the card to tie in with the stars on the DSP.

Teddy Bear 2 Santa 2

Gingerbread Man 2 Eskimo 2

As you need 3 hands to photograph a waterfall card in action I asked my assistant, Marvi, if he could help me. At first he tried with his paw…….Marvi Paw

But that didn’t really work so he looked at the card and thought about it for a while………

Marvi Thinking

Then decided he’d have to use his mouth……….

Marvi Mouth

After replacing the Kraft Rope Trim I decided I had enough pictures of my card. Thanks Marvi!!
Now it’s time to hop over to Monique’s blog and check out her wonderful project.

ESAD 2016 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop

2016 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop Header

Thanks for joining us on ESAD’s 2016 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop.  I’m brand new to the blogosphere, with this being my first ever blog hop.  The lovely Lou talked me into it in a moment of weakness.  You may have hopped over to me after seeing Renee’s great projects.  Make sure you follow all the links to see everyone’s blogs in this hop.

As a virgin blogger I thought I’d keep my first project simple.  The first thing on my 2016 Holiday Catalogue wish list was the Santa’s Sleigh Bundle so I’ve created a card using the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlit Dies.

Sleigh Card

I used Whisper White and Soft Sky card stock as my card base then I cut out the sleigh using Silver Foil Sheet.  I layered the sleigh with Sweet Sugarplum card stock.  If you look really closely you’ll see I’ve added some bling to the Sweet Sugarplum by using some Dazzling Diamonds.

Sleigh

I’ve added some Sweet Sugarplum and Silver Glitter Ribbon behind the sentiment and some Fancy Frost Sequins, both from the new Holiday Catalogue.  I also embossed the Whisper White card stock with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

Ribbon

My assistant, Marvi, was on hand for the photo shoot.  I’m not sure if he approves going by the look on his face.  At least he didn’t destroy my card so maybe it’s not too bad.

Marvi & Card

All the cool cat’s have got their paws on the Stampin’ Up! 2016 Holiday Catalogue.  Have you got your copy yet?
