CTC176 – Favourite 2018 Occasions Catalogue Project

Stampin' Cat CTC176 Sweet Soiree

Hello and welcome to my blog.  It’s Sunday night already and that means CASEing the Catty Blog Hop time.  This is my second blog hop tonight, I’m so busy with classes and Blog Hops I’m not sure how I have time to go to work as well lol.

This week we are CASEing our favourite 2018 Occasions Catalogue Project.  You may have hopped over from Julia, thanks for continuing on with me.

CTC176

My favourite thing from this Catalogue is the gorgeous box on the left hand side of page 11.

Occasions p11

This was what I wanted to CASE 100% as is but I had already used those particular pieces of Sweet Soiree DSP on other projects and I had run out of the beautiful Berry Burst Metallic-Edged Ribbon, so I improvised.

I’ve used a different piece of Sweet Soiree DSP and some Springtime Foils DSP.  I’ve added some Powder Pink 1/2″ Finley Woven Ribbon and layered it with 1/8″ Silver Ribbon.

The finished dimensions of my box are 10.5cm long, 5.5cm wide and 10.5cm high.  I started with a piece of DSP 30.5cm x 25cm and scored it at 10cm on all four sides, I’ve cut along 4 of the score lines, mitred the edges then folded it up into a box.  It fits together better if you mitre the edges.

The lid of the box is a piece of DSP 18cm x 13cm, scored at 3.8cm on all four sides.  I’ve cut and mitred in the same places.

The tag on the box is die cut from the Sweet Cake Framelits Dies and embellished with flowers and leaves from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit.  The sentiment is stamped in Powder Pink and I’ve also used some Silver Baker’s Twine.

Next on our hop tonight is Rose.  Just click on the next button to hop right over.

ESAD 2018 Retirement List Blog Hop

Stampin' Cat ESAD You Move Me Bundle of Love

ESAD 2018 Retirement List Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today I’m joining 27 fellow SU demonstrators for an ESAD blog hop featuring products that are on the Retirement List.  You may have started with me or you may have hopped over from Jo Stubbings.  Click on the next button at the end my the post to continue on the blog hop and check out all the amazing projects.

I decided to choose a stamp set and die bundle that had been sitting on my shelf for a while now.  I couldn’t let You Move Me go uninked any longer.  Have you seen this bundle used before?  The image flutters when you pull it out of the envelope.

I’ve used my favourite retiring DSP, Bundle of Love, with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits (sadly, also retiring) to create my project.  I couldn’t decide if I wanted a blue or pink version so I made both.

I’ve used Sweet Sugarplum (retiring) and Blushing Bride ink for the pink version.

And Island Indigo (retiring) and Tempting Turquoise (retiring) ink for the blue version.  I’ve added in some retiring Very Vanilla Sold Baker’s Twine and retiring Metallic Enamel Shapes also.

If you click on the links below you can see short videos of my interactive cards in action.

My assistant Marvi was quite interested in the Baker’s Twine and decided he might like to eat it.

Next on the hop is the lovely Sharon Dalton.  I had the pleasure of meeting Sharon in Sydney at On Stage.

Colour INKspiration Challenge CI32

Stampin' Cat CI32 Oh So Eclectic Shimmer White Embossing Paste

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today’s card is for the Colour INKspiration Challenge CI32.  The Challenge colours are Night of Navy, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White and Gold Foil.

CI32 I think these colours look stunning together and I’m a little bit in love with my end design lol.  I like this card so much I think we will be making it in my next class.  I got the card fold idea from Stamp-n-Paper Junkie.  I’ve just changed the colours to suit this Challenge.

Stampin' Cat CI32 Oh So Eclectic Shimmer White Embossing Paste

I’ve used Night of Navy as my card base and layered that with some Whisper White and Pink Pirouette.

I’ve stamped the Whisper White pieces with a “dotty” stamp from Lovely Inside & Out using Night of Navy  and Pink Pirouette ink.

I’ve used some Shimmery White Embossing Paste with the Sweet Soiree Decorative Masks on the Pink Pirouette pieces.  I’ve had this embossing paste for a while now and hadn’t used it yet.  Why…..I’m not sure because I love it!!!

Stampin' Cat CI32 Oh So Eclectic Shimmer White Embossing Paste

The flower is die cut from Eclectic Layers Thinlits and the leaves are die cut from Bouquet Bunch Framelits

The sentiment is from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set using Night of Navy ink.  I’ve added two banners behind the sentiment, one in Gold Foil and the other in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, to tie in with the Embossing Paste.

I hope you like today’s project.

Thanks for stopping by.
