Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the Colours Of Aurora DSP. The colours are Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue, Pool party, Berry Burst, Gorgeous Grape and Basic Black. During the week I received a new bundle called On Display and was excited to use it. I haven’t actually CASEd any card samples from the catalogues, however I’ve used all of the above colours which are found in the Colours of Aura DSP.

My card base is Basic Black followed by another layer of Basic Black which has been embossed with the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder. I have also die cut the bookcase from Basic Black. It took me ages to choose which items to place on which shelf. I’ve used some of my favourite things, plants, frames, books and of course a cat.

There’s so many more options in the On Display stamp set, bottles, jugs, world globe, bird cage and more plants. The sentiment is from the Decorative Trees stamp set and is White Heat Embossed.

Marvi didn’t like the grey cat, he thought I should have made it Tabby, like him. He does however like the little birds I’ve added to the frames.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we are back CASEing from the Annual Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’m full on into Christmas mode so I chose a card from the Annual Catalogue that I could adapt to a Christmas card.

My inspiration comes from the card on the very right of the above graphic which uses the Gallery Blooms Bundle.

My card base is Thick Basic White, a layer of Cherry Cobbler then a layer of Basic White which has been embossed with the Damask Designs Embossing Folder. I die cut a circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies then Gold Heat Embossed the sentiment which is from the Ornamental Christmas stamp set. When I design a “wreath” card I find it’s easier to place the die cuts around an actual circle.

I stamped four flowers in Memento Black Ink then coloured the leaves with a Mossy Meadow Blends and for the centre of the flowers I used a Bronze Blend. I die cut various leaves in Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Beige and Gold Foil then arranged them around the circle.

Mr Marvi was napping again this week. He sleeps in the doorway of my craft room which poses a huge trip hazard haha.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week’s CASEing the Catty challenge is to CASE a Punch or Die Project. You may have hopped over from Rebecca’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’m not sure why but I don’t have many punches at all in my craft room. So I’ve chosen to CASE a die project that uses the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder. I know this is an embossing folder however it comes with one of the biggest dies I’ve ever seen which die cuts all of the amazing Christmas words.

I was a little pressed for time so my project is fairly quick and easy. I’ve CASEd the “Happy Christmas” card from the above graphic.

My card base is Thick Basic White then I’ve added an embossed layer of Whispers of Texture Specialty Paper. I know I used a different pattern of this specialty paper last week but I didn’t emboss it. How good does that look? The “Ho Ho Ho”, “Merry Christmas” and “To You” were also embossed and die cut using the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder. These words were die cut from Two Tone Cardstock then I sanded them back to show the white core. I’ve used Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green from the Turtle-Y Sweet pack.

The holly leaves are die cut from Two Tone Cardstock as well. I’ve added a Pearl Adhesive Backed Berry and splattered some Wink of Stella all over the embossed background.

Marvi was asleep on the bed so I tried not to wake him up for a photo. When I put the card on him he did open his eyes, made a little grunt of disapproval then went back to sleep.
