Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty. The weeks are just flying by so fast, it will be Christmas before we know it. You may have arrived here from Rebecca’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
This week we are CASEing a layout from page 103 but changing the theme. There’s 5 cards to choose from, which one are you going to CASE this week?
I’ve chosen the sweet elephant card in the bottom right hand corner. Here’s a closer look at it.
When you break it down this layout has a repeated stamped image background, a vellum circle, the same image as the background stamped and punched out and a sentiment.
Instead of a repeated stamped image background I’ve used a laser-cut card from the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack. It has a repeated image of a ships wheel.
I’ve flicked some retired Gold Wink of Stella over my Vellum Circle then layered my Gold Heat Embossed sentiment over the top. I’ve finished my card off with a Gold Foil die cut wheel which is the same image as the background. Too easy.
Next up tonight is Rachel’s beautiful project. Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
We’d love for you to join this challenge. Click below and send us a request to join then just upload your new creation to the wall.

The foil steering wheel is awesome! What a fabulous card! I love your case. This is a brilliant card!
Love how you have used the laser cut card in place of the repeated stamping. Such a striking card!
That laser cut piece over the dark base sure packs a punch – it looks fabulous. Love the gold flecks as well. Super cool interpretation of the catty card. Siobhan.
The card is superb, so easy to pick one of these to use instead of stamping and the gold flecks are very cool.
Your card is awesome! I Ove the drama of the white laser cut card over the black base, and the gold embossing and flicking is fabulous.
What a great idea to use the Memories and More card as the background. I thought you were clever and embossed it!! I love the gold embossing and the gold foil wheel. A great men’s bday card.
Super masculine card, Peta and a great take on the layout. Very clever to use the M & M cards (I think I’d better open them, lol).
