Hello and welcome to another Sunday night CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. It’s been another busy week with work, classes, walking Marvi and meeting some of my not so welcome neighbours. I was out walking and happened to meet this little fellow just a couple of houses down from me. Luckily I didn’t have Marvi with me at the time.
This week we are CASEing from the Everyday Occasions section of the Annual Catalogue, pages 12-71. You may have arrived here from Michelle’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
There’s so much inspiration in these pages I couldn’t decide which card to CASE. I eventually settled on the “You are loved always” card on page 61. I think the embossed Gold Foil really caught my eye.
I haven’t used the new In Colour Purple Posy yet so I changed up the colours from those in the sample.
I’ve added a Scripty embossed layer of Purple Posy to my card base. I’ve also embossed the Silver Foil with the Subtle Embossing Folder, how awesome does that look?
I’ve Silver Heat Embossed the flower from the Botanical Bliss stamp set on some Grey Granite card stock then I put some bleach in an Aquapainter and painted the flowers. In real life these bleached flowers have taken on the colour of the Purple Posy but in my photo they just look bleached lol. I’ve also added some Purple Posy Scalloped Edge Ribbon and some Silver Metallic Thread.
Hang on I wasn’t looking at the camera.
My assistant has been MIA for a couple of weeks but he was happy to pose for photos this week.
Next up tonight is Shannon’s beautiful project. Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
We’d love for you to join this challenge. Click below and send us a request to join then just upload your new creation to the wall.
Thanks for stopping by.
I wanted to CASE that card too, love your silver version with the bleached flowers, How effective. Your snake is not really a “little” fellow! great photo but I can’t believe you stayed that close…
Glad it was you and not me with that snake! I love how you’ve added so much texture to your layers and the silver foil embossed looks great
The embossed foil is great. And the bleached flowers are totally fab. Awesome card!
Wow that embossed foil is stunning!! Great card
Oh Marvi, fabulous modelling! As for your “neighbour”, NO!! I hadn’t even noticed this card in the catty – your version is much better, I think. I love the combination of PP and Silver and the subtle embossing on the foil looks amazing, I have to try that!
Delightful card! I just love this blog hop!. I notice the beauty of the catty’s samples more, and I see how I’m able to make similar lovely cards. My hubby and I also get a giggle about you photographic assistant. Our cats would not pose like that.
OMG, that is *not* a little fellow! I would have turned tail and ran!!
Your card is gorgeous, and I love the softer colours.
The card looks marvellous in the subtle colours, and different flowers. I get shivers when I see the snake, I’m terrified of them!!!
The silver foil looks great embossed with the subtle folder. I love the pretty colours you have used.
Oh I love the embossed silver foil! I’m glad Marvi wasn’t with you when you saw the snake!! Time for a new route!!
