Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the colours of the Woven Threads DSP (designer series paper) and using inspiration from the layouts from pages 12-14.
You may have arrived here from Michelle’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
The colours are Pretty Peacock, Purple Posy, Rococo Rose, Sahara Sand, Seaside Spray, Terracotta Tile and Whisper White.
I’ve used the “forever” card on the left hand side of page 12 for my inspiration and used Pretty Peacock and Sahara Sand as my colours.
I think my new favourite colour is Pretty Peacock (sorry Old Olive). It co-ordinates with so many colours, it’s a must have In Colour. It goes perfectly with Sahara Sand don’t you think? I’ve used my Stamparatus and the Woven Heirlooms stamp set to create the background stamping behind my frame. The sentiment has been stamped on some Retired Wood Textures DSP.
I’ve stamped 2 daisies on vellum and punched some leaves with the Leaf Punch. There’s also a punched Sprig from Sparkle Glimmer Paper and I’ve coloured it with a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend. I’ve finished my card off with some Sahara Sand Woven Threads Trim, this trim is soooooo gorgeous.
I snapped a quick shot of Marvi just before he sneezed, luckily the card survived.
Next up tonight is Rebecca’s beautiful project. Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
We’d love for you to join this challenge. Click below and send us a request to join then just upload your new creation to the wall.
Thanks for stopping by.
Pretty Peacock is one of my favourite colours too. The daisy stamped in the vellum looks great. Beautiful card.
Beautiful card, Peta and the frame looks fabulous in Pretty Peacock. Glad it survived Marvi’s sneeze, lol
Bless you, Marvi! LOL, I don’t think I’ve ever heard a cat sneeze!
Your card is gorgeous! I agree that Pretty Peacock and Sahara Sand are a match made in heaven. I’m yet to crack open that gorgeous trim, I really should!
I love the daisy on vellum – I’m off to try that now! Such a pretty card with many lovely layers. I’m glad Marco didn’t sneeze your lovely creation away
Marvi!! How dare autocorrect change his name.
So many pretty details on your card, but the daisy and leaves is definitely worth a special mention, so effective.
I love the way yoyve done the background stamping! What a gorgeous card and the focus on these two colours together is stunning. Just beautiful.
Oh I love these frames!! They look so nice with the Woven Threads dsp!. I love the daisy flower as well.
