Hello and welcome to my blog. Can you believe Christmas is just over 2 weeks away? I haven’t even put my tree up yet!!!
This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing form the Wrapped In Plaid Suite, pages 12-17. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve CASEed this card on page 16 of the Holiday Catalogue.
I’ve made my card the regular C6 size and kept to the same basic layout.
My card base is Crumb Cake with a layer of Real Red. On a separate piece of Crumb Cake I’ve used a die cut from the Christmas Layers Dies as a stencil and sponged some Celestial Copper Metallic Ink over it. It creates such a lovely looking background.
I’ve used the same die on some Real Red Glimmer Paper and paper pieced the snowflakes into the Copper die cut. The greeting is from Itty Bitty Christmas and is White Heat Embossed on Garden Green card stock.
Mr Marvi was happy to pose again this week, as long as he was able to sit on the kitchen bench and not get into trouble. Five minutes prior to this photo he was in the enviro bag behind him but I wasn’t quick enough with the camera.
Next up tonight is Rebecca’s beautiful project. Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
We’d love for you to join this challenge. Click below and send us a request to join then just upload your new creation to the wall.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Peta,
Lovely card. I just love what you’ve done with the background. It really came out beautifully.
I love love the sponging!!! This is a beautiful CASE Peta! And I love the paper piecing too. Just gorgeous.
The extra layer looks great and emphasises the sponged area so much more. How do you get Marvi to pose so nicely?
Peta this “stenciled” and sponged background is just amazing, I love it! And that red glimmer paper looks spectacular, just the right pop of colour and sparkle. Fabulous CASE!!
