Hello and welcome to my blog. I hope you are well and staying safe. I’m finding a lot more time to craft since I’ve been in lockdown. This would be the perfect time to create a card and enter our fortnightly challenge, we’d love to see what you create.
At CASEing the Catty it’s week 2 of using the flowers from the Ornate Garden Suite as our inspiration. You may have hopped over from Rebecca’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I looked through my many floral stamp sets and decided to use one that hadn’t seen any ink for a while, Accented Blooms.
My card base is Mint Macaron with a layer of Whisper White. I’ve white heat embossed the floral image onto some vellum then used my Stampin’ Blends to colour the back of the vellum.
The Stampin’ Blend colours I’ve used are Pretty Peacock, Bermuda Bay, Call Me Clover, Mint Macaron and Granny Apple Green. The “Hello” is stamped in Soft Sea Foam and then punched with the Tailored Tag Punch. I’ve added a few Iridescent Sequins for a touch of bling.
The inside has a layer of Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White. The sentiment is from the retired stamp set Lift Me Up but I thought it worked perfectly. I wanted to leave as much room as I could to write a message. I think my neighbours will be getting this card as it’s a perfect little note card to just say “Hello”.
I think all the Blue/Greens in my card really bring out Marvi’s eyes. What do you think?
It’s time to hop over and see Judy’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.
Thanks for stopping by.
Your card has turned out particularly pretty Peta. Love shades of blue, and yes, Marvis eyes are definitely echoing the colour!
These colours are just sublime. I love every part of your card. Just stunning!!! Gorgeous. Love love love.
Oh my, this is stunning! I thought you’d watercoloured! The coloured vellum looks amazing!
I love the combination of greeny blue colours. It looks great coloured on the back fo the vellum. Wow, Marvi’s eyes do match the card!
Marvi is suitably full of admiration for this gorgeous card. Nailed it Peta!
