Hello and welcome to my blog. Thanks for joining me for CASEing the Catty. This week the challenge is to create a project using your favourite retiring punches or dies. I’m sure you have a favourite retiring product in your craft room and we’d love to see what you’ll create.
You may have hopped over from Rebecca’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve used the very versatile Seasonal Layers Dies, what’s not to love about these dies, four seasons in one die set. These dies have been used on many of my cards over the years and I think they will still stay on my craft room shelf for a while, even thought they have retired.
I’ve created four cards, one for every season. I didn’t quite manage to use all 17 dies in this set but if I’d had more time to create I probably could have.
The first card is a summer card using the cute little deck chair. Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue and Pacific Point with some retiring Burlap Ribbon and Baker’s Twine. The Stitched Circle has been watercolored with my Aqua Painter.
My Autumn card uses the three leaf dies. Pretty Peacock, Gold Foil and Perennial Essence DSP and a sentiment from Label Me Bold.
I’ve used two of the snowflake dies for my winter card even though Christmas is in summer here in Australia. Whisper White, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Parisian Blossoms SDSP.
My final card is a Spring card using Old Olive, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green and Whisper White. I’ve also used the sentiment from the co-ordinating stamp set Colourful Seasons.
Marvi definitely liked the Summer card the most, the Baker’s Twine didn’t stand a chance. Here’s an action pic of the twine bow being ripped off the card.
It’s time to hop over and see Michelle’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.
Thanks for stopping by.

Gorgeous set of cards, I love them all. But I think my favourite is the Christmas one. I love the colour palette on that one.
A great set, and you’ve used it well Peta. All beautiful cards.
Oh, wow! These are all fabulous! I’m with Marvi, the summer is my favourite, although spring is a close second!
Gorgeous set of cards, love each card for each season. I’m going to miss this set even though I haven’t used it in so long.
Love your 4 seasons of cards. I’m with Marvi, although they are all great, my favourite is your summer card. It is a great die set. I love it too.
