CTC Sunday Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog. How was your weekend? I know I’ve been complaining about how cold it’s been here in sunny Queensland. I’ve just spent the weekend at the Bunya Mountains, crafting with three girlfriends. It was so very cold but we had a lovely fire burning 24/7, keeping us nice and warm.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing from the Birthday section of the Annual Catalogue, pages 60-67. You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve used the “fluttering by just to say hi” card on page 63 as my inspiration.

I liked the wreath of butterflies but I decided to use less butterflies than the sample card.

My card base is Balmy Blue with another Balmy Blue layer, which I die cut with the gorgeous new Stitched Greenery Die. I die cut a stitched rectangle frame from Basic White then die cut a circle in Balmy Blue. I used the Symmetrical Stems Border Punch with True Love DSP to create the black and white wreath around my circle.

The butterflies are die cut from the Sand and Sea DSP using the Meadows Dies. After cutting the butterflies I left the die on the DSP then used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to draw around the die on the wings. I also edged the butterflies in black. The sentiment is White Heat Embossed on Basic Black card stock.

Mr Marvi has been in big trouble this week. He managed to get himself stuck on the roof of the house on Wednesday night. His collar got caught on something and he couldn’t get down. Luckily he was near the edge of the roof and I could reach him from a ladder. I managed to free his collar but I couldn’t get him off the roof. He eventually got down around 8pm that night.

It’s time to hop over and see Monique’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.
