Hello and welcome to my Blog. It’s a busy night as I’m participating in two Blog Hop’s tonight. The first Hop is with ESAD. What is ESAD I hear you ask?
I’m joined by 19 lovely Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from Australia and New Zealand and we’re going to bring you some quick and easy Christmas inspiration using products from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue. You may have hopped over from the lovely Cathy Pinchbeck, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you complete the full Hop, there’s a Participant List at the end of my post just in case you get lost along the way.
This Christmas will be the first Christmas in 35 years that I haven’t worked in Retail. Wow, I’m feeling less stressed than I normally do this time of year. I’ve even got all my Christmas cards made, the tree is up and I’m feeling organised. If you’re not that organised I’m sure you’ll find plenty of inspiration in this Blog Hop. Don’t forget there’s only 22 days until Christmas!!!
I’ve made two quick and easy cards using my favourite DSP in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue. Joyous Noel Specialty DSP is so stunning with the Copper Foil accents. I will be sad to see this DSP go.
I’ve used a Thick Whisper White card base then adhered some DSP. I’ve added a couple of borders to the DSP, one card has Tranquil Tide and the other Grey Granite. There’s also a Copper Foil border on both cards.
I’ve added some Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape to some card stock then used the Merry Christmas To All Thinlits Dies to die cut my words. This is a quick and easy way to add a little bit more copper shine to my cards. Adding some Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the back of the card stock makes adhering the words super easy.
These cards look so shiny and Coppery (is that a real word) in real life. My photos don’t do them justice. I’ve tried to capture their shine in the next couple of photos.
The sentiments have been embossed with Copper Embossing Powder and are from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set. I’ve used the Classic Label punch to punch them out.
I asked my assistant, Marvi, to pose for a photo and this is what I got. We might get a better pose next time. I think he really just wanted a tummy rub lol.
Next on tonight’s hop is Monique Fielder, you’re going to love her creation. Just click on the “Next” arrow to hop on over.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you like my quick and easy Christmas cards. Feel free to leave me a comment, I love reading them.

I like your use of washi tape. I always forget to use washi tape. You’ve given me another idea on the use of washi. Thank you.
Just love your work Peta and your assistant Marvi is a super star!
I love the idea of using washi tape like that. I love that DSP too. Hi Marvi!! I’ll give your belly a pat!
Beautiful cards Peta x
So shiny! Beautiful showcasing of this gorgeous paper.
The way you’ve used the Washi tape is such a great idea, Peta. Turns the quick and easy cards into something special. Thanks very much for sharing this idea x
Love your cards and the dsp on the sentiment is really clever. Love your assistant too.
Oh Marvi! You really know how to strike a pose! You just have to be the star don’t you! Love these Peta. The die cut words with washi tape is so effective. I need to try that! x
