Thanks for joining me today along with 24 Stampin’ Up! demos. We are showcasing our Favourites from the 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue. If you came from the lovely Amity Knight, thanks for continuing on to me. I hope you take time to make your way around the entire hop. Once you’ve finished on my page click on the next button and hop on to Megan’s fabulous creations.
It’s so hard to pick a favourite from this Catalogue. My list of favourites grows every time I look on Pinterest or Facebook. Who says you can only have one favourite???
So I looked through my Catalogue and when I got to page 96 my heart said I needed to use Ribbon of Courage as my favourite today. This stamp set was inspired by Million $ Sales Achiever Patty Bennett.
So many people are affected by cancer. Cancer recently took the life of my brother-in-law. Four out of five members of my immediate family have survived cancer. In 2012 I was diagnosed with Lymphoma and just last Tuesday I had my oncology checkup. I’ve been in remission for nearly 5 years now. So this is why I’ve chosen Ribbon of Courage as my favourite.
Each type of cancer is represented by a different coloured ribbon. Lymphoma is Lime so I made a card using the new Lemon Lime Twist (this happens to be my favourite new In-Colour)
I love the simplicity of this card. Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Black and Whisper White.
I’ve coloured the little hearts on the ribbon with my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker.
Next I thought I’d make a pink card which represents Breast cancer.
I used Melon Mambo Water Colour Pencil and an Aqua Painter for the background. This is my “Angel” using the die cut ribbon.
I’ve used Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper as all “Angels” deserve to shine.
In my last card I’ve used Gold for Children’s cancer.
I’ve heat embossed the ribbon in Gold embossing powder. I’ve also used some of my favourite DSP, Bundle of Love.
Now my ESAD Blog wouldn’t be complete without a picture of my assistant Marvi the Monster. I don’t think he liked my angel because he pushed it off the table.
I hope that you have enjoyed the cards I’ve made today. Please feel free to leave me a comment. Make sure you click on the next button and hop over to Megan’s inspiring project.
Thanks for stopping by.

My favourite card is the lemon lime twist – it is so striking against the basic black. Thanks for sharing.
So cute – I love Marvi, and your cards.

Peta these are just gorgeous! Great to see the ribbon colour chart, always handy to know what colour for which cancer. And Yay for 5 years!!!!
Gorgeous cards Peta, and so glad to hear the good news from your oncology check up. My Ribbon of Courage bundle just arrived in the mail last week, so I am looking forward to having a play soon.
Wow!! Peta, What a great job. Unlike Marvi, I loved the angel wings. Your first card was my favourite but they were all good.

Really fabulous and meaningful cards Peta. I love them all. I think Marvi was actually voting for the angel card as his favourite!
Peta, these are all special and beautiful…I have to agree with Liv and Carly Lemon Lime Twist all the way…
Cancer touches so many people, Sorry for you loss and I am glad that you are STILL in remission after 5yrs <3
Hope today was great for you <3 Cheers Shaz
They are all beautiful Peta i cant pick a fav maybe all 3!!
You have made some beautiful creations, thank you for including the “cancer colors” chart. Love your kitty cat too.
Blessings, Bev (Sultan, WA USA)
Lovely use of this bundle, I like how you have only coloured parts of the image in the first card, and love the gold embossing on the last one.
Thanks for sharing cards that are so close to your heart! Love the added detail of the small amount of colouring on the lime ribbon and the bling of your angel even if Marvi wasn’t so keen on her 🙂
Love your cards they are all so special for me as we are lucky IF we have not been touched by cancer these days with family or friends. I think Marvi needs more attention that’s why he pushed the card off!
