Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing from the Painted Christmas Suite in the Mini Catty, pages 16-23. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve used the “Warm Christmas Wishes” card in the top right hand corner of page 23 as my inspiration.

I’ve changed the colours and added a few extra layers but otherwise I’ve kept very close to the layout of the sample card.

My card base is Thick Basic White with layers of Blackberry Bliss and Blackberry Beauty SDSP. Don’t you just love all that elegant gold foil on the Specialty DSP? I’ve used the Encircled In Beauty Dies to die cut the medallions in Gold Foil and Basic White. I’ve layered Rich Razzleberry card stock behind the gold medallion.

The sentiment is White Heat Embossed on Rich Razzleberry card stock. I’ve also added some Gold 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon.

Some days you just need to get a photo of Marvi when you can. I woke him up from his cat nap, he’s sitting on a cushion on the lounge where I normally sit and watch TV. Now I know how my cushions get so furry.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Yesterday was world card making day, I hope you got to enjoy a day of creativity and fun.

This week at CASEing the Catty we have a sketch challenge, using the “Thinking of You” card on page 34 of the Mini Catty as our inspiration.  You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

Here is a breakdown of the sketch.

My card design is very simple this week but I think it still has a little bit of a “wow” factor.

My card base is Thick Basic White followed by a layer of Tidings of Christmas DSP. I’ve used a die from the Ornate Layers Dies to create a repeated die cut on the DSP, allowing the Basic White card base to show through.

The sentiment is from the Encircled In Warmth stamp set and is Gold Heat Embossed. I’ve added some Gold 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon and some retired Peaceful Poppies Sequins.

Marvi was outside bird watching from the comfort of his bed and wasn’t too interested in my card this week.
