Hello and welcome to my blog. This will be our last week CASEing from the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catty, as it ends on 30 June 2022, so we’re CASEing our favourite retiring product. How do you choose a favourite retiring product, it’s like choosing a favourite child (lucky Marvi is an only child). I’ve CASEd the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box on page 34 of the Mini Catty, using several retiring products.

The Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes have already retired so I decided to use the Sweet Little Boxes from page 9 of the Mini Catty. These boxes come in a pack of 10 and are currently only $8.75 per pack, until they retire on June 30.

The boxes are super easy to assemble as they even come with their own adhesive on them. I’ve made 3 boxes but could have easily made all 10 boxes into gorgeous little gift boxes. I’ve used some retiring Artfully Composed DSP on the front and back of the boxes. Then I’ve added some White 3/4″ Frayed Ribbon and a couple of die cuts from the Tropical Layers Dies.

The sentiment is from the co-ordinating Artfully Layered stamp set and is White Heat Embossed on Evening Evergreen card stock. I used some old Washi tape to cover up the words on the stamp I didn’t need so I just got the “birthday wishes”. I’ve also added some Polished Dots just to give my boxes a little bit of bling.

Marvi was looking at me a bit confused because this weeks project wasn’t a card, but I think he liked them.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing our favourite retiring bundle from the Mini Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve chosen a card in the bottom left hand corner of page 35 of the Mini Catty which uses the Dahlia Days Bundle.

Instead of a square card I’ve made mine into a C6 size card. I’ve kept the layout fairly similar to the sample card.

My card base is Soft Succulent then I’ve added a piece of Symbols of Fortune SDSP and a thin strip of Calypso Coral card stock. The flower and leaf images are from the Dahlia Days stamp set and are stamped in Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight ink. I’ve then used the co-ordinating Detailed Dahlias Dies to die cut all of the images.

I’ve used the Vintage Bottle Punch to make the “pots” for all the flowers and leaves. I’ve modified each “pot” with my paper snips. I’ve fussy cut some small flowers and butterflies from the SDSP and popped them up on dimensionals to give my card some more depth. I’ve also added some For Everything Fancy Sequins. I will add a sentiment once I know the occasions this card will be used for.

Marvi was looking particularly handsome today as he posed with my card. I think the colour of the card base brings out the green in his eyes.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing an embossing project from either catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I liked the background of the card on page 73 of the Mini Catalogue and the image on this card has been white heat embossed so technically this card is an embossed project.

The background uses the Gentle Waves background stamp which I’m ashamed to say, is sitting on my shelf and hasn’t been inked up yet and it’s retiring at the end of the month. It’s currently on sale for $21.

I wondered what this stamp would look like white heat embossed, even though the sample card is not embossed. I liked the look of the embossing so then I used a blending brush and Soft Sea Foam, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay ink to add colour to my background. I don’t have the Viking image the sample card uses so I thought sea shells would look perfect against my ocean background.

The Seaside Seashells Dies have a co-ordinating Seashells 3D Embossing Folder so that was perfect for the embossing project challenge. The main shell is stamped in Soft Sea Foam ink. Two other seashells were White Heat Embossed then I used my blending brush again with Petal Pink ink. I’ve added an embossed sentiment and some Faux Sea Glass Shapes. My finished card looks nothing like the sample card but I hope you can see where I was going with it.

I’m sure Marvi can see where I was going although I think he might have been dissapointed there were no fish on my card.
