CASEing the Catty Crew

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the Colours of Nature Walk DSP. The colours are Balmy Blue, Blueberry Bushel, Cloud Cover, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Pretty Peacock and Secret Sea. I’ve CASE the “I like you” card above using the Stampin’ Spritzer technique, with Isocol, on page 41 of the Mini Catalogue.

My card base is Pretty Peacock then I’ve added a layer of Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper. This layer has been “Spritzed” with Pretty Peacock and Old Olive ink then stamped in Pecan Pie using the Nature’s Symphony stamp set. I’ve also added in some Gold Heat Embossing to give the card a little shine.

I’ve adhered a Pecan Pie piece to the middle of the card then a Crumb Cake die cut and Pecan Pie stamped leaf. The sentiment has been White Heat Embossed and is from the Nature’s Symphony stamp set. If you look really closely you can see the amazing texture in the Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper. This paper gives your projects a vintage, worn aesthetic when you mist ink with Stampin’ Spritzers.

Marvi was outside on the lounge having a little cat nap. He didn’t move when I put the card next to him, just opened his eyes long enough for a photo then went back to sleep.

Hello and welcome to my blog. We’re CASEing our favourite DSP this week. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I really liked the Florals In Bloom DSP, on page 67 of the Annual Catalogue, however I hadn’t used very much of it. So my challenge was to use this DSP that I really liked but hadn’t used (does this sound familiar haha).

I’ve CASEd the above card from page 89 of the Annual Catalogue which uses the Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP. In the sample card they’ve fussy cut along the flowers in the DSP to create the edge.

My card base is Peach Pie followed by a layer of Secret Sea. I chose a lovely pattern of Florals In Bloom DSP and fussy cut around the flowers. The flowers didn’t look quite right when “hanging” from the top of the card so I changed it up and added the DSP to the bottom of the card. I thought this left a lot of boring white space so I added some interest with some Wood Textured Specialty Paper.

I’ve die cut a couple of leaves in Summer Splash using the Pretty Florals Dies. The sentiment is from The Right Words stamp set and is die cut using the Nested Essentials Dies. To finish off my card I’ve added a Tiny Bee Trinket.

Marvi was relaxing in his favourite basket. He’s had this basket since he was a kitten and he still squishes himself into it although he’s way too big now.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing any Bundle from the Mini Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve used the Joyful Squares Bundle for my CASE this week. This Bundle also has a co-ordinating DSP, Square Snippets.

I’ve used three of the individual squares from the scrapbook layout on page 55 of the Mini Catalogue to create three 9cm x 9cm note cards.

The first card has a Thick Basic White card base followed by layers of Darling Duckling, Square Snippets DSP then a layer of Basic White which has been stamped in Darling Ducking using a stamp from the Joyful Squares stamp set. The flowers have been fussy cut from the DSP except for the addition of some stamped leaves in Pretty Peacock.

The second card layout is basically the same. I’ve added a Pretty In Pink layer and I’ve White Heat Embossed the top layer with the “sun ray” image. I’ve added fussy cut flowers and stamped leaves in Garden Green and a Pretty In Pink heart.

The third card has a Pool Party layer then a layer of Square Snippets DSP. The pink frame has also been die cut from a piece of Square Snippets DSP. I’ve added more fussy cut flowers and some stamped Garden Green leaves.

Marvi was hanging out in my craft room so I got a quick photo. Today he was sleeping on the floor which is much easier for me to craft. He usually sits on my craft table, right where I’m trying to work.
