CTC 156 – Case any Project from the Annual Catalogue and give it a Christmas Twist

Stampin' Cat CTC156 Seasonal Layers

Hi and welcome to another Sunday night CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  This week we are CASEing any project from the Annual Catalogue and giving it a Christmas Twist.  You may have started the hop with Rebecca, thanks for continuing on with me.

CTC156

I flicked through the Catalogue a few times before I chose a card to CASE.  There were too many options to choose from.  My CASE is inspired by the Happy Birthday card on page 161.

Now to put a Christmas Twist on it.

Stampin' Cat CTC156 Seasonal Layers

I’ve used the emboss resist technique on some water colour paper using the snowflakes from Colourful Seasons.  I’ve used Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party ink with my Aqua Painter.

The sentiment is heat embossed in silver and it’s from the Oh, What Fun stamp set.

You probably can’t see in the picture but I’ve die cut some Vellum snowflakes with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and attached them to my embossed snowflakes.  I’ve then added an iridescent sequin as well.

I hope you like my card.  Next up on the Blog Hop is Rachel.  You’re going to love what she’s created this week.

CTC155 – Case Gift Packaging – Both Catalogues

Stampin' Cat CTC155 Year of Cheer

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop.  You may have hopped over from Rachel, thanks for continuing on with me.  This week we are CASEing Gift Packaging from either Catalogue.

CTC155

I love the stack of gifts on the right hand side of page 11 in the Holiday Catalogue.  Who wouldn’t love to receive these?

Holiday page 11

Although these gift boxes are in my favourite DSP I’ve changed mine and used Year of Cheer.

I love the use of mixed metallics.  Year of Cheer has gold, silver, champagne and copper but they all go so well together.  I watched a Youtube video from Pootles Papercraft for the measurements of each box.

I’ve heat embossed the sentiment from Merry Little Labels in gold embossing powder then used the Everyday Label Punch to punch it out.

I’ve used Silver 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon around each box then I’ve tied all the boxes together with Gold 1/8″ Ribbon.

I hope you like todays project.  Now it’s time to hop over to Fi to see her amazing project.  Just click on the link below.

CTC154 – Case a Colouring Project

Stampin' Cat CTC 154 Santa Paws

Hello and welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty.  It’s been a huge weekend, on Saturday I attended Stampin’ Up! On Stage at the Gold Coast and on Sunday I had my first Volunteer training day for the Commonwealth Games.  Both events were held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre.  I can’t give too much away but you’re going to love everything in the SAB and Occasions catalogues.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing any Colouring Project.

CTC154

I’ve chosen the card on page 18 of the Holiday Catalogue.

Holiday page 18

I’ve changed the colour of my card base to Basic Black with a layer of Soft Sky.

Stampin' Cat CTC 154 Santa Paws

I have stamped the image from Santa Paws onto water colour paper and selectively coloured parts of it with Water Colour Pencils.  How cute do these little critters look?

Stampin' Cat CTC 154 Santa Paws

The sentiment is from Santa’s Sleigh and I’ve stamped each word separately then popped them up on mini dimensionals.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today.  It’s time to hop over to my good friend Megan.  Don’t forget Megan, what happened on the Gold Coast stays on the Gold Coast lol.  Just click on the next button and you’ll be taken straight over to her beautiful project.
