CTC Sunday Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing a Leaf or Tree Project from the Mini Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve CASEd the “I thought of you today” card on page 49. I really like how they’ve used the negative of the die cut on this card.

Page 49

I’ve changed the size and colours, making my cards 10.5cm square, but have used the negative of the die cut as the original card does.

I’ve made three versions of the same card, using the three different patterns of Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper. All cards have a base of Crumb Cake with a layer of Plush Poinsettia.

The third layer is Pool Party and I’ve randomly stamped “Ho Ho Ho” in Versamark all over this piece before embossing it with the Subtle Embossing Folder.

I’ve used the Peace & Joy stamp set to White Heat Emboss the words “Merry Christmas” on some Poppy Parade card stock.

I’ve finished the cards off with a few Woven Threads Sequins. Which one is your favourite?

Marvi doesn’t appear to have a favourite, secretly I think he likes them all.

CTC286 – Case an Annual Catty Project and Give it a Mini Catty Twist

CTC Sunday Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog. I hope you’ve had a great week, mine has been busy as usual. Marvi had to get his vaccinations on Friday and he also had another weight in. He’s been on a “diet” for years but nothing seems to work. Six months ago I changed his dry food to a diet dry food and finally he’s lost some weight. He’s now at 6.6kg, down from 7.4kg. Woohoo!!!

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing any project from the Annual Catty and giving it a Mini Catty Twist. You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

#CTC286

I’ve chosen the “Just Wanted To Say Hello” card on page 48 of the Annual Catalogue.

Page 48

I’ve kept fairly close to the original layout but changed up the colours. I don’t make many Christmas cards in traditional colours of green and red but I have today.

I’ve used Thick Whisper White for my card base then added a layer of Merry Merlot. I’ve embossed the next layer with one of the Wrapped In Texture Embossing Folders. I’ve die cut some Gold Foil Sheet with the Ornate Layers Dies and Gold Heat Embossed my sentiment then used the Stitched Rectangles to die cut it.

I’ve used the North Pole Wonder Dies to die cut the leaves in Merry Merlot and Garden Green.

Mr Marvi didn’t enjoy his first ride in Ralph the Range Rover, he cried all the way to the vets. I’ve tried to take a flattering photo of him showing how slim he’s looking.

CTC285- Case The Sketch on Page 29

CTC Sunday Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog. Thank you for all the name suggestions for my new car. After trying out many names I’ve chosen to go with Phyllis Strickland and Siobhan Fitzsimmons suggestion of “Ralph”. I think “Ralph the Range Rover” really suits him. I found naming a car was a lot harder than naming a pet. When naming a pet you need to shout the name out loud, because chances are you’ll be out in public shouting your pets name at some point, you’ll soon know if that’s the right name for your pet. But with a car that theory doesn’t really work.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the sketch on page 29 of the 2020 Mini catalogue. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

Here’s a break down of the sketch.

#CTC285

I’ve changed the orientation of my card from portrait to landscape.

#stampin_cat #ctc285 #evergreenforest #brushedmetallic #stampinup

My card base is Basic Black with layers of Sahara Sand then more Basic Black. I’ve cut 5 strips of the gorgeous new Brushed Metallic card stock and adhered them to the top layer of Basic Black then embossed this piece with the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder.

#stampin_cat #ctc285 #evergreenforest #brushedmetallic #stampinup

I’ve used a sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and Copper Heat Embossed it on a piece of Sahara Sand card stock. It’s a simple card but I love how it turned out.

#stampin_cat #ctc285 #evergreenforest #brushedmetallic #stampinup

Can you see the look of mischief on Marvi’s face? Seconds after I took this photo the card was on the floor then he swatted it under the fridge. MARVI!!!
