CTC 139 – Everyday Occasions – Pages 18-67

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.  I must start off with an apology for last week.  Kelly was before me in the blog hop and she promised my assistant Marvi would be helping me with my card.  He had spent the day in the garden helping me so when I was taking pictures of my card he was too tired for a photo shoot.    Marvi says sorry, he will try not to disappoint anyone again.

This week at CASEing the Catty our inspiration comes from the “Everyday Occasions” section of the Catalogue, pages 18-67.

CTC139

Yet again, so many beautiful cards in this section to CASE.  I decided on the “Friend” card on the right hand side of this picture from page 47.

Annual Catalogue Page 47

I’ve only used the layout of this card for my CASE as I don’t have the stamp set or the DSP used in the sample.  That’s how easy it is to CASE from the Catalogue.  Pick a design that you like and use what you have to CASE it.  Simple!!

Stampin' Cat CTC139 This Little Piggy

This is my first time using This Little Piggy stamp set.   I’ve used Eastern Palace DSP and some gold 1/8″ ribbon.

I coloured my piggy with Blushing Bride ink and an Aqua Painter.  I’ve used Lovely Words Thinlits for the word “friend” and added in some Washi Tape from the Basics Pack 3

This is such a cute little piggy.  How could he not make you happy?

Marvi is that your happy face?

Thanks for visiting today, next up is the very talented Sandra, I’m sure you’re going to love her project.  She’s used my favourite DSP on her card.

#JOS002 Challenge – The Letter “S”

Joy of Sets Winner

#JOS002

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.  Today’s card is for The Joy of Sets Challenge #JOS002.  I had so much fun joining into their first challenge I decided to play along again.

Every 2 weeks there is a new challenge.  You may use any Stampin’ Up! stamp set, new or retired, but there’s a twist.   There will be a new letter selected each fortnight and that letter must be in the name of the stamp set you use.  For this challenge the letter is “S”.

Stampin' Cat #JOS002 Sunshine Sayings

I’ve made a Shaker card using the Sunshine Sayings stamp set and the matching Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies.

Stampin' Cat #JOS002 Sunshine Sayings

I’ve used Night of Navy, Tangerine Tango and Smokey Slate (more “S” words lol) cardstock.  Stampin’ Up! Foam Adhesive Strips and Window Sheets are perfect for making Shaker Cards.

Stampin' Cat #JOS002 Sunshine Sayings

I’ve used Silver Sequins to fill my Shaker card.  I’ve stamped the word “sending” in Tangerine Tango and die cut “sunshine” in Night of Navy.

I hope you like my entry for the challenge.  I’d love if you left me a comment.

CTC 138 – Holidays – Pages 112-125

Hello and welcome to this weeks CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop.   We are CASEing the Holiday section of the Catalogue, pages 112-125.

CTC 138

I don’t usually do Christmas in July so I’ve chosen to CASE the “Thanks Friend” card on page 124.  I plan to give this card to a wonderful friend who drove all the way to the Gold Coast with me on Monday.  I had an interview to become a volunteer at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.  And guess what……I was selected!!!  Woohoo

I love the way the leaf has been done on this card.  The Catalogue even tells you how they’ve achieved this effect.  “Layer strips of cardstock then cut out a shape with the Leaflets Framelits Dies”.   Too easy!!  I don’t own the Leaflets Framelits Dies so I used the leaf from Seasonal Layers Thinlits.

CTC 138 Stampin' Cat Embossing Paste

I’ve finally had a chance to play with my Embossing Paste.  Why have I waited so long to actually use it????   It’s so much fun and super easy.  I love the dimension this gives my card after sponging it in Sahara Sand.

CTC 138 Stampin' Cat Embossing Paste

I’ve used Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke and So Saffron as layers for my leaves.

I think the Copper Foil Sheet really suits the colours of my card.  I’ve used Lovely Words Thinlits for the sentiment “friend” and “wonderful” is from the Tabs for Everything stamp set.

Thanks for joining me again for CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  Next up is Bronwyn, I know you’re just going to love her creation.  Make sure you hop around all of the team members and don’t forget to leave some love.
