CTC Sunday Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog.  We’ve only got just over 1 week left of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2019 Occasions Catalogue so we’re CASEing a few of our favourite things before they’re gone for good.  This week we are CASEing our favourite Retiring Big Shot Project.  You may have arrived here from Elizabeth’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve decided to CASE the sweet little pillow box in the above graphic.  Although it doesn’t use a lot of Big Shot elements in its creation.  The Retired Big Shot element is the Happy Birthday which has been created with the retiring Happy Birthday Thinlits.  This die makes such an impact to your projects, I will really miss it.

I’ve changed my CASE into a card rather than a Pillow Box.  I’ve used a gorgeous new 2019-2021 In Colour called Pretty Peacock.

There’s some beautiful retiring Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon Behind a die cut circle from Tranquil Textures DSP.  I’ve die cut the Happy Birthday in Sparkle Glimmer Paper then used a Sponge Dauber to add some Pretty Peacock and Balmy Blue colour to it.  I’ve layered another Happy Birthday die in Pretty Peacock behind, slightly offsetting it.  It’s been popped up on dimensions to give it even more depth.

The flowers and leaves are from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  I’ve used another new In Colour on the smaller flowers called Rocco Rose.

It’s difficult to capture the sparkle on the ribbon and sentiment.  It looks much sparklier in real life.

Next up tonight is  Rebecca’s beautiful project.  Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.

Colour INKspiration #CI56

#stampin_cat #CI56 #goodmorningmagnolia #stampinup

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today I’m sharing a card I made for the current Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI56.  As well as the chosen colour combination for #CI56, Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo and Garden Green, you may also add Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black and metallics to your project.

That cake looks amazing with all those fresh flowers so I’ve used the new Good Morning Magnolia stamp set for my card.

My card base is Blackberry Bliss with a layer of Berry Burst.  I’ve heat embossed my Magnolia with Silver Embossing Powder on a piece of water colour paper.  Using my Aqua Painter I’ve coloured the flower with Melon Mambo and Garden Green Ink.

I’ve added a few Silver Metallic Sequins to tie in with the silver embossing.

Thanks for stopping by.

CTC229 – Favourite Retiring Punch

CTC Sunday Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog.  We’ve only got 2 weeks left of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2019 Occasions Catalogue so we’re CASEing a few of our favourite things before they’re gone for good.  This week we are CASEing our favourite Retiring Punch.  You may have arrived here from Julia’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve gone with an animal theme again this week, using the Fox Builder Punch.  I’ve CASEd the card on the bottom left hand side of page 87 of the Annual Catalogue.

I’ve made a set of 3 cards, each with a different animal.  My card base is Thick Whisper White and I’ve used Twinkle, Twinkle DSP.

I could have made several more animals but ended up with a koala, dog and bear.

I’ve stamped the log (gray granite) and leaves (soft sea foam) from the co-ordinating stamp set, Foxy Friends.  This cute little koala is my favourite.

The second one is Spot the Dog.  You can’t see it in my photo but I’ve folded his ears over so he’s got floppy ears.

And the last card is a cute little brown bear.  I haven’t put a sentiment on them just yet, I’ll add one once I know what occasion I’ll be using them for.  Which one is your favourite?

I’m not sure which one Marvi likes the best.

I think he’d like a tummy rub rather than posing for photos.

Next up tonight is  Rebecca’s beautiful project.  Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
