CTC205 – Case a Birthday Card and give it a Christmas Twist

Stampin' Cat CTC205 All Is Bright Sprig Punch Stampin' Up!

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  This week our inspiration is to take any Birthday card and give it a Christmas Twist.   You may be starting with me or you may have arrived from Simone’s gorgeous creation.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

The choices were endless but I finally narrowed it down to the “Best Wishes” card on page 146 of the Annual Catalogue.

Here’s a closer look at the card I used as my starting off point, you may have to use plenty of imagination as the finished product looks nothing like this.

I love using Night of Navy for Christmas cards so that’s where I started.

I’ve embossed a Whisper White piece of card stock with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder then adhered it to my Night of Navy card base.  I’ve coloured some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper with my Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend, it looks so sparkly in real life.

The word “Merry” has been die cut with the Merry Christmas Thinlits.  First I used my Aqua Painter with Blueberry Bushel, Pacific Point and Night of Navy ink on a piece of Shimmer White card stock.  Do you like the variation in colour?

I’ve fussy cut some leaves from the Peaceful Noel stamp set and punched out some Night of Navy sprigs with the Sprig Punch.  The word “Christmas” is from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set.

My assistant, Marvi, was not really interested in my card this week.  Although he did pose for a photo.

Next up tonight is Fi’s beautiful project.  Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.

CTC204 – Favourite Holiday Big Shot Project

Stampin' Cat CTC204 Eastern Palace Painted Glass Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my Blog.  Last week we took a week off as most of the Crew were attending Stampin’ Up! events around the globe.  I was lucky enough to attend On Stage in Auckland NZ.  I missed all my friends in Brisbane but still had a wonderful time.

This week our inspiration is our Favourite Holiday Catalogue Big Shot Project.   You may have started with me or you may have hopped over from Monique’s gorgeous project.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I love the bauble card on page 10 of the Holiday Catalogue so I’ve decided to use it for my inspiration this week and it has plenty of Big Shotting (is that even a word?)

I don’t have the Beautiful Baubles Bundle so I’ve used what I have to re-create this card.

I’ve used the lovely Silver Foil-Edged Cards and Envelopes from page 11, the same as the sample.  I’ve created my die-cut bauble, directly onto the card, with Eastern Medallions Thinlits (big shot) then I’ve attached a piece of Balmy Blue card stock behind it.

I’ve Silver Heat Embossed the circular stamp from Painted Glass and coloured it with Stampin’ Write Markers in Pool Party, Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushel.  I’ve die cut it with the Layering Circles Framelits (big shot) then layered a Silver Glimmer Paper Scalloped Circle (big shot) behind it.  There’s a cute little bottle cap (big shot) on top of the “bauble” from the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits.  I’ve also added a Night of Navy Baker’s Twine bow.

The sentiment is from Peaceful Noel and is White Heat Embossed on Night of Navy card stock.  There’s a Silver Glimmer paper layer behind it, I’ve die cut them using Bottles & Bubbles Framelits (big shot).  The Snowflakes are die cut from the White Velvet Sheets using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits (big shot).

CTC203 – Case Hostess Sets – Both Catalogues

Stampin' Cat CTC203 Hearts Come Home Wood Textures Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to another CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  With most of the design crew attending Stampin’ Up! events on the 10th of November we won’t be hopping next week.  Don’t panic, we’ll be back on the 18th.  I missed out on securing a registration for On Stage in Brisbane so I’ll be travelling to Auckland NZ.  I’m just a little bit excited to be going to New Zealand.

This week our inspiration comes from the Hostess Pages of both the Holiday and Annual Catalogues.   You may have arrived here from Rose’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve used the cute little box on page 227 of the Annual Catalogue for my inspiration.

With so many wonderful new products in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue it’s easy to forget about the Holiday Stamp Sets in the Annual Catalogue.

Stampin' Cat CTC203 Hearts Come Home Wood Textures Stampin' Up!

I’ve started with a Gray Granite card base then I’ve used the Hearts Come Home stamp set and I’ve White Heat Embossed the little houses and Santa and his reindeer’s on some Wood Textures DSP.

The sentiment is from Merry Christmas to All and is stamped in Real Red on Whisper White card stock.  There’s a strip of Real Red card stock behind the sentiment.

I’ve added some 1/8″ Real Red Solid Ribbon and a matching bow to the left hand side.

My assistant, Marvi, was on his best behaviour this week although I thought he might have tried to pull the bow off.

Now it’s time to click on the “Next” button and see what Angela has created this week.
