Stampin' Cat CTC202 Joyous Noel Sprig Punch Stampin' Up!

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  This week our inspiration is our Favourite Holiday Tag.   You may have arrived here from Judy’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

There’s so many lovely tags in this Catalogue I had a hard time choosing which one to CASE.  I decided on the “Peace & Joy” tag, top left, on page 3.

It’s very easy to miss so here’s a closer look.

I’ve made 3 tags using my favourite DSP from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue, Joyous Noel.

My tags have been made using Merry Merlot, Tranquil Tide and Gray Granite card stock with a co-ordinating layer of Joyous Noel DSP.  Each tag has a different ribbon behind the sentiment.  Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8″ Reversible Ribbon, Tranquil Tide 1/4″ Velvet Ribbon and Crumb Cake 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon.

The sentiment from the Peaceful Noel Stamp Set has been stamped on Whisper White card stock then die cut with the label from Bottles & Bubbles Framelits.  I’ve used the co-ordinating larger label with the Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper behind the sentiment.

Each tag has two sprigs punched from the Copper Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper.

I’ve punched a hole in the tops of the tags with the 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch the threaded some 1/4″ Copper Trim through the hole.

CTC201 – Caseing Front & Back of 2018 Holiday Catalogue

Stampin' Cat CTC201 Merry Christmas To All Santa's Workshop Memories & More Shimmer Paint Stampin' Up!

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  This week our inspiration comes from the Front & Back of the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.   You may have arrived here from Rebecca’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve chosen to CASE the “Christmas Cheer To You” card, top and centre of the Front Cover.

Again I’ve gone with some non-traditional colours and used Coastal Cabana and Poppy Parade.

My card base is Poppy Parade followed by a couple of layers of Santa’s Workshop Memories and More Cards. I’ve added a layer of vellum attaching it with some Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape.

I’ve used the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies for the word “Christmas” layering a Coastal Cabana word over the top of a Poppy Parade word, offsetting it slightly.   I’ve painted some Frost White Shimmer Paint over the Coastal Cabana word.  Then I’ve adhered the word to a Stitched Shape Circle.

The small stars are Festive Farmhouse Elements and have also been painted with Frost White Shimmer Paint.  The large star is a retired Hearts & Stars Element.  I’ve also added a Silver & White Baker’s Twine bow.

Marvi was actually eyeing off the bird that was sitting on the fence so my card was safe from destruction.

CTC200 – Toil & Trouble – Pages 48-55

Stampin' Cat CTC200 Dashing Deer Stampin' Up!

I have some very exciting news to share with you tonight.  After working for the same company for 35 years I’ve decided on a career change.  I’m starting a new job tomorrow as an Assistant Accountant.  Wish me luck!!!

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  This week our inspiration comes from the Toil & Trouble section, pages 48-55 of the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.   You may have arrived here from Rebecca’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’m not really into Halloween so this week I’ve turned the cute little Halloween tag, on page 50 of the 2018 Holiday Catalogue, into a Christmas tag.

I do love a good Reindeer on Christmas Cards and Dashing Deer has become a new favourite.

My tag has been punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch in Night of Navy with a layer of Twinkle Twinkle DSP.   The Deer has been embossed with Silver Embossing Powder then die cut with the co-ordinating Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies.

I’ve punched a circle from some Shimmery White Cardstock and used Pineapple Punch ink and an Aquapainter to give it some colour.  I’ve also added some Wink of Stella to give it a little more shimmer.  The sentiment is from the Peaceful Noel stamp set and has a layer of Silver Glimmer Paper behind it.  I’ve used some Night of Navy 1/2″ Gingham Ribbon for the bow.

Oh Deer!!!  The photo shoot didn’t end well with my poor Deer losing a leg.   Marvi, Marvi, Marvi!!!
