Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we’re CASEing A Bundle. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve chosen to CASE a card on page 41 of the Catalogue which uses the Scalloped Blooms Bundle.

I’ve changed some of the colours however kept the layout pretty much the same.

I’ve started with a Basic Beige card base then I’ve trimmed 1.5cm off the right hand side. Using the Scalloped Blooms Dies I’ve die cut a piece of Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP using the non-velvet side. I’ve also die cut six smaller scallops, three from Balmy Blue card stock and three from some Spring Textured Metallic Specialty Paper. I’ve used my snips to make the Balmy Blue scallops more flower like then I literally screwed them up in my hand to give them some texture before layering them over the Metallic Specialty Paper.

The flower stems and leaves are die cut from some Mossy Meadow card stock and the flower centres are die cut from some Bloom Boutique Specialty DSP. I’ve embossed three pieces of card stock with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder and adhered one piece on the inside of the card and the other pieces along the bottom of the card. The sentiment is from the Banner Sayings stamp set.

Marvi was napping in my craft room again this week. This photo almost looks like he’s taken a selfie haha.

If you scan the QR code at the bottom of page 13 of the Catalogue it will show you dozens of fabulous templates.

There’s so many templates to chose from I had a hard time choosing which one to use. In the end I landed on the third template on the top row.

My card base is Thick Basic White followed by a layer of Crumb Cake. Next I’ve added three panels of A Stitched Season DSP (July Online Exclusive). Unfortunately after completing my card and blog I realised this DSP is no longer available, so I apologise for using a retired product. I die cut a Basic White square using the Stylish Shapes Dies then added a fussy cut Christmas tree.

I’ve added some Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine. The sentiment is from the Scalloped Christmas Cheer stamp set and is stamped in Secret Sea.

Marvi and I were having a good old conversation while he was posing for photos. I’ve snapped him mid sentence with his mouth slightly open. Maybe he was telling me about his day although my guess is he was asking for more snacks.

Again this week, I don’t have any of the products used to make the above cards. So I’ve used what I have and I’ve turned the “Enjoy” card above into a Christmas Card.

My card base is Early Espresso followed by layers of Basic Beige and Natural Noel SDSP. My ODC kicked in and I just couldn’t bring myself to offset these layers haha. Next I’ve added another pattern of Natural Noel SDSP then a Basic Beige banner die cut using the Nested Essential Dies.

I’ve stamped the sentiment and some stars on the banner. The trees are die cut in Early Espresso, Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake using the Holly Jolly Branches Dies. I’ve added a piece of Gold Striped 3/8″ mesh ribbon just like the sample card.

Marvi was trying to have a nap in my craft room. I ran two card classes yesterday so he had a busy day meeting and greeting everyone at the front door. Then he usually hops up on the craft table and “helps” everyone with their cards. He’s also been know to steal ribbon and twine.
