Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing a Kit Project from either catalogue. You may have hopped over from Sandra’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve chosen to CASE the “way to go” card on the far right of the below graphic which is on page 7 of the Annual Catalogue.

This week I’ve made two cards, one for all the cat lovers and one for all the dog lovers. I’ve started with a Real Red card base then a layer of Playful Pets DSP.

Instead of a trio of citrus I’ve got a trio of cats and a trio of dogs. The cats and dogs have been fussy cut directly from the DSP, can it get any easier than that?

I’ve stamped some Real Red hearts and added some words cut directly from the DSP too.

The sentiment is from the Lovely You stamp set and is stamped in Memento Black. I’ve added some Playful Pets Ribbon behind the sentiment and tied a bow from the Playful Pets Twine.

Marvi was posing nicely today but I don’t think he liked the dog card very much.

Let’s face it, that twine didn’t stand a chance lol.

Hello and welcome to my blog. We’ve had some cooler weather here in Queensland this week. It’s been a welcome change, Marvi has definitely felt it too as he’s been a lot cuddlier. There’s nothing better than a cuddly Marvi lol.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are creating a project with our favourite retiring punch. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve used 3 retiring punches in my project, Classic Label Punch, 2″ Circle Punch and the Perennial Flower Punch. I’ve used the card on page 44 of the Annual Catty as my inspiration.

I’ve changed my card from portrait to landscape and changed the colours, but the layout is very close to the sample card.

My card base is Thick Whisper White with layers of Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White. I’ve stamped “Happy Birthday” from Itty Bitty Birthdays several times and punched them out with my Classic Label Punch. Then I’ve arranged them on my Whisper White layer.

The flowers are from the Floral Essence stamp set and are stamped in Petal Pink ink on Petal Pink card stock, then punched out with the co-ordinating Perennial Flower Punch. I’ve layered four flowers together. I’ve added some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots for a touch of bling.

Marvi was looking a bit cute and cuddly so I snapped a quick picture. This is his classic “rub my tummy” pose, but only if you dare!!!

One of my favourite retiring stamp sets is Good Morning Magnolia, I think the large magnolia image is so versatile.

I’ve used a Smoky Slate card base and inked the edges of the next layer in Memento Black and stamped the large magnolia image twice in Smoky Slate ink. I’ve added some Memento Black dots from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set then “flicked” some Wink Of Stella over the whole card. I embossed some Whisper White card stock with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder and adhered it across the middle of the card.

I stamped the large magnolia on a piece of Whisper White card stock then just fussy cut the flower. I adhered some Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon behind the flower. The sentiment is from another favourite retiring stamp set, Itty Bitty Birthdays, and is white heat embossed on Basic Black card stock. Some Metallic Pearls finish off my card nicely.

Marvi was more interested in whatever was in the cupboard today. I got his attention by saying the word “snackies”, he’ll do anything for food.
