We are CASEing a layout from page 52 of the Holiday Catalogue.  Page 52 features the Halloween themed, Monster Bash suite.

Halloween is a non event in my household so this week I’ve CASEd the “Open if you Dare” box and turned it into a Christmas gift box.

I’ve used a Mini Shipping Box and created a belly band using Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP.  I can’t get enough of this DSP at the moment, it’s so beautiful.

I’ve used some Pretty Peacock 1/2″ Scalloped Ribbon and some Very Vanilla/Copper 1/2″ Classic Weave Ribbon around my belly band.  I cut the Pretty Peacock ribbon in half,  down the middle to create two pieces of ribbon, then adhered them to the “Merry Christmas” ribbon.

I’ve used the Ornate Frames Dies on Noble Peacock Foil Sheets to layer behind the sentiment.  “Oh What Yum” is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and it’s embossed with Copper Embossing Powder.

Marvi wasn’t keen on a photo with my project this week but he’s always keen to help out at my classes.  He likes to keep a close eye on everyone.  Here he is with Coral, Jenny, Beryl and Di.  He’s good at stealing ribbon and twine lol

Hello and welcome to my blog.  This week at Caseing The Catty we are Caseing the colours from Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP (Copper, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock and Very Vanilla) and taking inspiration by a layout on page 30 of the Holiday Catalogue.   You may have arrived here from Michelle’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve chosen to use the card in the bottom left corner as my inspiration.  Here’s a closer look at the card.

I’ve used Thick Very Vanilla as my card base then added a smaller layer of Night of Navy then more Very Vanilla.

I’ve used the smaller of the two baubles from the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack.  I’ve punched them from Brightly Gleaming DSP and added some Copper Foil to the top.

The bauble “strings” are from the Swirly Frames stamp set and they’re stamped in Celestial Copper Metallic Ink.  I’ve also added a Pretty Peacock branch from the Christmas Layers Dies.  The sentiment is Copper Heat Embossed and it’s from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set.

This is quite a quick and easy card to make and I love all the Coppery elements together.

I think Marvi likes my card this week.  He didn’t try to destroy it so that’s a good thing.  I’m not sure if he’s lost any weight yet but he seems to really like his new diet food.

Hello and welcome to my blog.  I’ve had another busy week with work, family birthdays, preparing for classes and taking Marvi to the vet for his vaccinations.  Anyone that’s met Marvi always comments that he’s rather large.  About 18 months ago I put him on a diet, and he did lose some weight, but now he’s put it all back on plus some.  He weighed in at 7.5kg.  So we are back on a diet with some special diet food, which of course he loves.  So with less food, diet food and more walks and more playtime lets see how much he can lose.

This week at Caseing The Catty we are Caseing a card layout from page 46.  There’s only 5 projects on this page so it will be interesting to see which one everyone chooses to CASE.  You may have arrived here from Michelle’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve CASEd the “Season of Thanks” card from the above graphic but I’ve turned it into a Christmas card.

I’ve broken the card down and used all the elements to create my CASE.  The original card has a stamped card base and a banner of DSP.  My card base is Gray Granite and my banner is Cherry Cobbler and I’ve stamped both of them with the little stars from So Many Stars in Silvery Shimmer Delicata Metallic Ink.

It’s hard to capture the shine of these small stars.  They look really shimmery in real life.

I’ve added a circle of Wrapped In Plaid DSP die cut with the Stitched Circle Dies.  I’ve replaced the leaves and pumpkin from the original card with stars from the Stitched Stars Dies.  The largest star is die cut from Silver Foil and embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder.  The red star and sentiment are silver heat embossed.

I think Marvi liked my card this week but he didn’t enjoy his tiny portion of breakfast this morning.  He may even go on strike and not pose for photos anymore!!!
