CTC167 – Sale-a-bration

Stampin' Cat CTC167 Heartfelt Blooms

Hello and welcome to my blog.  It’s Sunday night already, where has the week gone.  I had my first class in my new class room on Friday.  Everybody loved the new space.

I usually set up trestle tables in the garage but they didn’t really fit into my new room so I bought this old dining table off Facebook Marketplace for $50, delivered.  The lady that I got it from was worried that the table needed sanding and re-varnishing but when I told her what I was going to use it for she asked me for a business card.  It fits 8 people perfectly.

This week at CASEing the Catty we’re CASEing Sale-a-bration again.  You may have hopped over from Julia, thanks for continuing on with me.

CTC167

This weeks card may look similar to the layout of my last 3 Sale-a-bration CASE’s but it’s not.  I’m CASEing the card on page 18.

Which is very similar to the card on page 8.

I’ve used Early Espresso as my card base and I’ve layered it with some Wood Textures DSP.  I’ve stamped the DSP with Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set in Archival Black Ink.  I’ve used the same stamp on some Whisper White then die cut it with Lots of Labels Framelits.

The sentiment is from the Beautiful Peacock stamp set.  The word “YOU!” is heat embossed in white.  The extra Vellum flowers and leaves are from Bouquet Bunch Framelits.  Behind the sentiment I’ve used 1/4″ Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

Next on the hop is the very talented Bronwyn.  Just click on the next button below.

For my project today I’m using the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies and the matching stamp set Amazing You.

My card base is Basic Black with layers of Bermuda Bay and Whisper White.  I’ve stamped the flower and words from Amazing You in Archival Basic Black ink.  I stamped a second flower then coloured it with Bermuda Bay.  I then fussy cut it and popped it up on dimensionals over the top of the original flower.

I’ve layered strips of Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape on some Whisper White card stock then die cut the word “Celebrate” with the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies.

The three leaf die cuts are from Bouquet Bunch Framelits and I’ve done one in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, one in Vellum and one in Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape.  A Clear Faceted Gem finishes off my flower quite nicely.

My lovely assistant Marvi was helping me photograph the card.  Being a card model is clearly exhausting for him.

CTC166 – Painted With Love – Pages 18-21

Stampin' Cat CTC166 Sure Do Love You

Hello and welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty.  Today has been very exciting for me because this morning I completed my Role Specific Training for the Comm Games Volunteer Program.   I’m volunteering at the Shooting (which is in Brisbane).   I’m a Field of Play Team Member.  I’m very lucky to be able to help out in the sport that I love.  For those that don’t know me, I’ve been shooting for approx 15 years.  In that time I’ve represented Queensland at State and National levels and I’ve also competed Internationally in NZ and Canada.  Do you think I could have two hobbies that are more opposite?  Card making and shooting, a perfect match.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the Painted With Love section, pages 18-21. If you’ve come from Rebecca’s blog, thanks for continuing on with me.

I’ve chosen to CASE the card in the bottom left hand corner of the above image.

Stampin' Cat CTC166 Sure Do Love You

I made this card for my partner, Nik, for Valentine’s Day.  He doesn’t believe in Valentine’s Day and he always says “why should there be a special day for love when I love you every day”, so I thought this sentiment was perfect.

The card base is Basic Black with a layer of Whisper White then I’ve added some Gold Foil Acetate.  The biggest heart is die cut from Pick a Pattern DSP.

Stampin' Cat CTC166 Sure Do Love You

I’ve heat embossed the sentiment from Sure Do Love You in Gold.  The gold heart has been embossed with the Petal Pair embossing folder.  I’ve also added a Gold Mini Sequin bow behind the sentiment.

Next on the hop is Sandra.  You’re going to love her creation this week.
