Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we have a sketch challenge, using an image on page 4 of the Sale-a-bration Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.
Here’s a breakdown of the sketch.
I love a sketch challenge as I think there are so many possibilities with such a great layout.
The sample card looks like it has a checkered pattern for the background so I’ve used a brand new background stamp called Drizzling Droplets. It’s an Online Exclusive product and will be available to order on 5 March 2024. I think it looks like the pattern the rain makes when it hits the window, what do you think? The flowers are from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set and I’ve coloured them with Blends, Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive.
I’ve used the co-ordinating Thoughtful Expressions Dies to die cut my image. I’ve added some Silver Festive Pearls to the centres of the smaller flowers. The sentiment has been stamped in Memento Black and has been fussy cut.
Marvi was hanging out in my craft room while I was making this card. I think he was actually enjoying the air conditioning, it’s been so hot and humid here in Queensland this summer. I’m really looking forward to Autumn and some cooler weather.
