Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing a Sketch from page 22 of the Annual Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rebecca’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

There’s 22 different sketches to choose from and I went with this sketch.

I’ve used the Round We Go Bundle and CASEd a card on page 63 of the catalogue. If you look at the photo of the cards on this page you’ll see the little template in the top right corner of the photo? This shows you which template has been used on one of the samples.

My card base is Smoky Slate followed by a layer of Pretty In Pink then another layer of Nature’s Sweetness SDSP. The pinwheel is die cut from the Country Lace DSP. It’s a little bit tricky to use a DSP with lines on in, and get the lines to match up. My tip is to place your die in the same place on the pattern, on your DSP.

I’ve die cut two scalloped circles in Basic Gray and topped them with a Silver Foil Sheet die cut. The centre of these is die cut from 2024-2026 In Colour Glimmer Specialty Paper. The sentiment is from the Round We Go stamp set.

At first Marvi was very intrigued with the pinwheel on my card. I’m sure he was thinking it would be easy for him to rip it off and play with. He eventually posed nicely for a photo but I did have to distract him to get this picture.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the Colours of Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP. The colours are Early Espresso, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Lost Lagoon, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Pretty Peacock, Pumpkin Pie, Shaded Spruce and Soft Succulent. These are some of my favourite SU colours so this SDSP was one of the first items on my wish list, from the new catalogue. I needed a small gift for a friend so I’ve made some lovely note cards with a matching box.

I’ve kept them fairly simple to allow the SDSP to be the main focus. I’ve used layers of Lost Lagoon, Petal Pink and SDSP. I’ve also added a die cut greenery element to each card. Three sheets of these die cuts are included in the Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP.

The base of the box is made from Thick Basic White card stock and the lid of the box is made from SDSP. I followed a great YouTube video from Sandy Parker to make a box to fit my notecards. Her video shows you how to make any size box you want.

Marvi wasn’t interested in my note cards and matching box. All he was worried about was that I was blocking the sun while I was taking the photo.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Unfortunately I missed the hop last week as I spent the Queensland May Day long weekend volunteering at my local sporting club. Twice a year I help out in the scoring room, and with 84 competitors it kept me extremely busy. Today, in Australia, it’s Mother’s Day so a very happy mother’s day to all the mums out there. I had a lovely lunch with my family at my parents house.

This week we are CASEing from the Mix & Match Section, pages 18-21 of the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I couldn’t resist CASEing the cute “Happy Birthday” card in the bottom right hand corner of the above graphic.

I’ve used a card base from the Calming Creek Cards & Envelopes pack. I’ve also used an embellishment from the Labels & Layers Ephemera Pack. As you can see they are so easy to mix & match. I’ve stamped the little stool from the Country Flowers stamp set onto some Country Woods DSP then used the co-ordinating die to cut it out. The cat and dog are from the Pets & More stamp set. If Marvi had a chance to sit on a little wooden stool, he would. Let’s face it, he happily sits on all of my furniture.

The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder and is coloured in Pool Party. I’ve also added a few little hearts in Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo.

Marvi was not happy there was a dog on my card although I think he approved of the cat on the stool.
