Hello and welcome to another CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. This week we are CASEing from page 36 of the new Annual Catalogue. You may have arrived here from Rebecca’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
The Magnolia Lane Suite is simply beautiful and so are the samples in the Catalogue. I’ve chosen to use the Come Sail Away Suite on my CASE this week instead of Magnolia Lane, which shows the versatility of the products. Here’s a closer look at the card I’ve CASEd.
I’m so in love with the Come Sail Away Suite, you can check out my other creations by clicking here.
My card base is Night of Navy and I’ve embossed it with the Subtle Embossing Folder as the texture resembles the look on the striped DSP. I’ve die cut 3 different pieces of Come Sail Away DSP with the border die from Magnolia Memory. I’ve die cut the border the opposite to the sample card as I think it looks more like waves this way.
The sentiment is White Heat Embossed on Soft Suede card stock and I’ve popped a Copper Foil die cut behind it. I’ve also added some retired Metallic Sequins.
Next up tonight is Tina’s beautiful project. Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
We’d love for you to join this challenge. Click below and send us a request to join then just upload your new creation to the wall.
Thanks for stopping by.
Another gorgeous creation from you with this suite, Peta. I love the way you’ve flipped the edge die – I agree it looks more wave-like. Also, love seeing all the different DSP patterns as they work so well together. I have to ask, though – where are the Marvi pictures?? I miss his sweet little face and seeing what he thinks of your creations 🙂
Stunning, I love the colours in this suite and your card is a perfect example of how they all tie together. Just gorgeous x
Think this is one of my favourite embossing folders. Love your reversed layering detail and choice of elements especially the pop of copper.
I love this card. It looks great with the reverse scallop shape at the bottom of each layer
How clever to reverse the scallop edge! It looks really fabulous with the sailing boat and the awesome DSP. GReat card. Love the copper highlights!!
