Hello and welcome to another CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. This week we are CASEing the colours from the Pressed Petals DSP and using a layout from pages 72-73 as inspiration. The colours include Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, Rocco Rose, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.
You may have arrived here from Julia’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve chosen to CASE this card from the bottom of page 72.
I’ve used Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla.
The sample uses the Petal Labels Dies but they are still on my Wish List so I’ve improvised by using the Heirloom Frames 3D Embossing Folders to create my main oval feature. I’ve then die cut the centre out of the oval with the Layering Ovals Dies. These embossing folders come with matching dies that cut the whole frame out but I only wanted to cut out the middle of my oval.
The Merry Merlot flowers are from the Bouquet Bunch Dies and the Mossy Meadow leaves are from the Lovely Flowers Dies.
The sentiment is from Good Morning Magnolia and is Gold Heat Embossed. I’ve also added a Braided Linen Trim bow.
A few people have been asking “where’s Marvi?”. Mr Marvi has not been very co-operative with photos lately, this is the best one I could get this week. “Can someone please rub my tummy” says Marvi.
Next up tonight is Rebecca’s beautiful project. Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.

Love the frame being cut only in the middle. Such a beautiful effect. Gorgeous colours for this very special elegant card. It’s all stunning.
Marvi is back!!! Yay! I love the way you’ve cased this, Peta. Your version has such a lovely soft feel in this week’s colour palette. The embossed frame looks great with just the centre cut out like that. Very pretty.
Beautiful card! I love these Heirloom Frames and they work so well with the die cut flowers in the oval. Great job!
I love how you have used the frame to make a window. Really pretty lovely to see Marvi back too
This is quite a novel card with the flowers placed like that. Very nice.
Fabulous card and CASE, Peta! The die cut flowers and leaves work so well in the oval frame. Great to know that you can cut the centre from the embossed oval. Love the blissful look on Marvi’s face; I hope you obliged with the tummy rub, lol.
Clever improving with your choice if diecut flowers Peta. They look great in the background and make your greeting pop. Ahh Marvi – what a life!
Oh Marvi, it’s such a hard life!! I think your card is much nicer than the original!! I love how you have added the flowers in the middle of the card.
