Hello and welcome to my blog. I missed the blog hop last week as I had family visiting from Victoria for Easter. I had a wonderful, but very busy, nine days with them before taking them back to the airport yesterday morning.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing your favourite project from the Mini Catty. You may have hopped over from Rochelle Laird-Smith’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

My favourite suite from the Mini Catty is Wildflower Birthday so that’s what I’m using for my CASE tonight.

This cake looks amazing and if you know me you know I love eating cake. I’ve turned the decorations from this cake into a card.

My card base is Soft Sea Foam followed by a layer of Basic White. I’ve used one of the dies from Birthday Celebrations to die cut three shapes from different papers. The flowers are ready to use die cuts from the Wildflower Birthday SDSP.

The “Happy” has been White Heat Embossed on Peach Pie card stock. The “Birthday” is from the Labeled With Love stamp set. I’ve used the little flower from the Birthday Celebration stamp set to stamp the Pretty In Pink die shape.

Marvi was sitting on the coffee table so I thought it would be a good photo opportunity. All the visitors were warned that he does bite occasionally so he was fairly well behaved with only one adult received a nip on their hand.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing an Easter Project from either Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Kathryn’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

Now I’m not sure if this was a trick challenge, getting us to look really really closely at the catalogues, but I could only find one Easter card.

The above Easter card can be found on page 26 of the Mini Catty, so that’s the card I CASEd.

I know I used the Storybook Moments Specialty DSP a few weeks ago but I wanted to use some of the cute rabbits, rabbits go hand in hand with Easter don’t they? I’ve made this little rabbit scene then adhered it to some new Beautiful Gallery DSP.

The sentiment is White Heat Embossed and die cut with a die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I love this little rabbit family gathering carrots for Easter.

This was Marvi’s reaction after I told him it was Easter next week but cats can’t have chocolate. One of Marvi’s “quirks” is that he actually goes a bit silly over a bag of carrots. He doesn’t eat them but he rubs his face and body all over the bag. I have several videos of him and his carrot bag fetish haha.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing a Template from page 12 of the Mini Catty. You may have hopped over from Rebecca’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I decided to use the second last template on the bottom row of the above graphic and flip it to a landscape orientation. You might need to think a little laterally to see any resemblance, unfortunately this is how my mind works some days or rather does not work haha.

I started with a Basic Gray card base followed by a layer of Basic White. The next layer is Secret Sea, a brand new 2025-2027 In Colour. I thought I was being really clever using the Tiled Technique stamp set and white heat embossing to create a sort of oval in the centre of the card, like the template. That was my first mistake as I was left with more of a rhombus shape. How do I turn a rhombus into an oval? I know, let’s add a Nested Essentials Die and it kind of looks like an oval shape behind it.

As I wasn’t planning to use such a big die cut for my sentiment I then needed a sentiment that would work and I found one in the Country Birdhouse stamp set. My second mistake was that my white heat embossing was a little patchy in the top left hand corner, did you notice? I thought I’d add a flower to hide it so I used the Country Flowers Dies and die cut a few Basic White flowers but they just got lost in the background so ended up using another new In Colour called Darling Duckling for the large flowers and the Impressions Abloom Dies for the smaller flowers.

I think Marvi is quietly judging my card as it turned out nothing like the template I started with but hopefully you can see where I was going with it.
