Hello and welcome to my blog. We’re CASEing the colours of the Splendid Autumn DSP from page 37 of the Mini Catalogue. There’s several colours in this DSP including Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Fresh Freesia, Garden Green, Moody Mauve, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wheat.

I’ve only used two of the above colours, Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler. Let’s face it, they are the perfect colours for another Christmas card.

My inspiration comes from the sentiment on the “Grateful for You” card in the above graphic. My card base is Mossy Meadow followed by a layer of Basic White then a piece of Iconic Celebrations DSP. The trees are die cut using the Decorative Trees Dies using Mossy Meadow and Gold Foil. The tree in the background uses the Gold Foil pieces left over from the die cut on the tree in the front.

The sentiment is Gold Heat Embossed and is from the Decorative Trees stamp set. I’ve used the Unbounded Love dies to die cut the sentiment and the gold frame around the sentiment. To finish off my card I die cut several Cherry Cobbler bows and a couple of Gold Foil stars to put on the trees.

This is Marvi’s reaction to this weeks card, somehow I don’t think he likes it or maybe he was just tired or bored.

Again I found it hard to choose a project however I decided on the card in the middle of page 58 of the Annual Catalogue.

I’ve had the Labeled With Love Bundle in my craft room for a while but I don’t think I have used it yet. I’ve made my version of this card a Christmas card.

My card base is Thick Basic White followed by a layer of Iconic Celebrations DSP (online exclusive). I’ve used the Labeled With Love Dies to die cut three dies from the DSP. Instead of using the co-ordinating stamp set for the presents I’ve used the dies from Reindeer Fun Dies. My presents are in Silver Foil, Night of Navy and Bubble Bath.

The sentiment is from the Decorative Trees stamp set and is stamped in Night of Navy ink. I’ve coloured some Basic Rhinestones with a Night of Navy Blend.

Our friend Mike, the dog, is back staying with us while his humans celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary in Thailand. Marvi was on full alert just in case Mike decided he could fit through the pet door and come inside.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing a die project from either catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rochelle Blok’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

There are endless possibilities for this weeks challenge and I found it hard to choose a project. In the end I decided on the “A Very Merry Christmas” card on page 42 of the Mini Catalogue.

I do have the Decorative Trees Bundle however I decided to use the online exclusive bundle called Frosted Forest. This bundle has a stamp set, co-ordinating dies and decorative masks.

I started with a Thick Very Vanilla card base followed by a layer of Basic Black then a layer of Season of Green & Gold SDSP. I used a Basic Black and Wild Wheat Stampin’ Write Marker to “flick” a bit of colour over the entire card. I used the Decorative Masks to colour the tree. Smoky Slate with the first mask, Basic Gray with the second mask then Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder with the third mask. I stamped the tree outline in Memento Black.

The sentiment is also Gold Heat Embossed on Basic Black card stock. I’ve added a Gold 1/8″ Trim bow. This card is quite sparkly in real life however hard to capture in a photo.

Marvi was all eyes today however I don’t think he even looked at my card. It’s been quite hot and humid here in Queensland this week. He found a little breeze and a cool floor and he stayed there for hours.
