Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we’re CASEing the colours of the Easter Joy DSP. The colours are Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Shy Shamrock. I don’t usually make easter cards so I didn’t purchase any of the Easter Joy Suite so I’ve used what I have to CASE a card on page 36 of the Mini Catalogue.

My card was inspired by the daffodil card in the graphic above. I was feeling a little challenged to use all of the colours in the DSP, however for these moments you can’t go past flowers.

My card base is Thick Basic White followed by a layer of Mixed Up Patterns DSP. I’ve used the retired Impressions Abloom Dies to die cut an oval in the DSP. Then I’ve die cut some leaves and flowers, in the challenge colours, using the Delicate Framing Dies. I’ve added adhesive sheet to my card stock before die cutting, making it so easy to adhere to my project.

The sentiment is Silver Heat Embossed and is from the Simply Said stamp set. Using a blending brush I’ve added some Balmy Blue ink over the top of the sentiment. To finish off my project I’ve added some Basic Rhinestones to the centre of a few flowers.

Marvi was napping on top of the clothes dryer. It’s one of his many sleeping spots around the house. I had to climb up on a chair to get this photo as the dryer is on top of the washer and I’m not very tall haha.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we are back CASEing from the Annual Catalogue, CASEing a suite of your choice. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve chosen to CASE a card from the Turtle-y Suite on page 48 of the Annual Catalogue.

Although this suite is Turtle-y Cute the only thing I have from this suite is the Shades of Green Hexagons.

During the week I saw a card made by Laura Beacham. Her cards were simply made with squares of blended colours and a die cut so I thought I’d try this technique on my CASE this week. My card base is Thick Basic White followed by a smaller piece of Basic White. I’ve used a die from the Lovely Arrangements Dies to create the Fresh Freesia scallop. The squares are Summer Splash, Fresh Freesia and Misty Moonlight. The die cuts are from the Gallery Blooms dies.

I’ve used a blending brush to add ink to the squares and die cuts creating a great tone on tone look. The sentiment is from the Blooming Phrases stamp set and I’ve added a few retired Purple Adhesive-backed Sequins.

Marvi was taking a cat nap in his favourite box which was given to him by his grandparents. He’s made a few renovation to his box but it’s still his favourite and you’ll find him sleeping in it most days.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing the Made With Love Suite from the Mini Catty. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve chosen to CASE a card on page 32 of the Mini Catalogue. My finished project looks nothing like the original project however I hope you can see where I was going with it and see some kind of resemblance.

In the sample card they’ve inked the inside of an embossing folder with a brayer so that’s where I started with my project.

My card base is Balmy Blue then I’ve added a layer of Basic White which has been embossed with the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder after adding Balmy Blue ink to the inside of the folder. Rather than two hearts I’ve used the Joyful Squares Dies to die cut a couple of squares from some Mixed Up Patterns DSP. The photo corners also use the same dies.

The flowers have been fussy cut from the Square Snippets DSP and the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set and is White Heat Embossed on some Balmy Blue card stock. To finish off my project I’ve added a few Muted Palette Dots.

I found Marvi outside today so I took a quick photo. Rocky the robot vacuum and mop had been dodging him all morning. I guess he thought it was safer outside. Marvi does like to give Rocky a couple of whacks with his paw when he first starts up but he eventually gives up and either goes for higher ground or goes outside.
