Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing the Beautiful Gallery Suite, pages 52-57 of the Annual Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

This suite was the first thing on my wish list after attending OnStage in March. It is a beautiful suite and will be getting lots of use in my craft room. I’ve CASEd the card on the very left of the above graphic.

I’ve started with a Basic Beige card base followed by a layer of Secret Sea then another layer of Basic Beige. I’ve used the Damask Designs embossing folder then distressed the edges. I’ve added a little Smoky Slate ink to the distressed edges. I die cut the “frame” in Cloud Cover using the Gallery Blooms Dies then I stamped it with a stamp from the Elements of Text stamp set.

The largest flower was stamped in Secret Sea ink then I used a blender pen to pull a little bit of ink out of the stamped image to slightly colour the flower. I’ve added some Secret Sea, Petal Pink and Pecan Pie die cut foliage. It’s very hard to see in my photo but I’ve flicked some Wink of Stella all over the card. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set and is heat embossed with Copper embossing powder. To finish off my project I’ve added some Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments. Don’t you just love the word “drusy”, I had to look it up haha. It means “lined with a crust of projecting crystals”.

Judging by the look on Marvi’s face, I don’t think he was impressed with my card. I couldn’t even win him over with the Drusy Embellishments, he was too busy eating his cat grass.

Hello and welcome to my blog. We’re CASEing from page 26 and 27 of the Annual Catalogue, the Quick and Easy Option section. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

My project is inspired by two projects in the above graphic. The two tags, one with a rabbit and a flower and the other tag with flowers and love hearts.

My card base is Cloud Cover followed by a Basic White layer which has been embossed with the Birch Wood 3D embossing folder. Next I’ve used the Impressions Abloom dies to die cut the oval and the gold foil border around the oval. I’ve blended a touch of Cloud Cover ink on the Basic White oval and added a small strip of Beautiful Gallery DSP.

I received the Along the Lines stamp set at Onstage in Brisbane earlier this year, and wasn’t sure if I liked it or how to incorporate the line images on a card. I stamped the dog and flower in Black Memento ink then fussy cut them and adhered them to the oval. I added a few Strawberry Slush flowers and a sentiment which was white heat embossed on Secret Sea card stock.

I think Marvi noticed there was a dog on my card instead of a cat. I used to think he didn’t notice or know what certain images and pictures were however yesterday morning on the TV news there was a story of a family in the USA that had a bobcat in their house. As soon as he saw that bobcat he crouched down and puffed all his fur out making it look like he was twice the size. Then he slowly crept closer to the TV to get a better look at the bobcat.
