ESAD So Long Old Favourites

Hello and welcome to my blog.  The ESAD April 2019 Blog Hop is the first of two Blog Hops I’m participating in tonight.  I’m hopping with 24 other fabulous demonstrators showcasing some of the retiring old favourites from the 2018/19 Annual Catalogue and the 2019 Occasions Catalogue.  You may have come from Jo Weedon’s amazing project, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.  There’s also a list of participants at the bottom of my Blog incase you get lost along the way.

I didn’t have to think too hard about the stamp set I wanted to use for this Hop.  This was the first stamp set I ever bought from Stampin’ Up!  After doing a quick Google search I found this stamp set was introduced in 2001 but sadly this year it will be retiring.  Of course I’m talking about Lovely As A Tree.

#stampin_cat #esad #lovelyasatree #silverembossingpaste #tramquiltextures #stampinup

I’ve made a set of 3 cards all using the same products.  I thought it would be good to use up some of my Silver Embossing Paste, and when I say use up I really mean open the jar for the first time lol.  Don’t panic as the Shimmery White and White Embossing Paste are still available in the new catalogue.

I thought about using the Embossing Paste like a wax seal so I spread some paste on a piece of Whisper White card stock then stamped my stamp into it.

#stampin_cat #esad #lovelyasatree #silverembossingpaste #tramquiltextures #stampinup

There was heaps of paste still left on my stamp so I thought I’ll stamp it again on a new piece of card stock.

#stampin_cat #esad #lovelyasatree #silverembossingpaste #tramquiltextures #stampinup

Then I thought about spreading the paste directly onto the stamp and stamping with it.  If you’re going to give this technique a try I have one small tip for you.  Clean the Embossing Paste off your stamps as soon as you’ve finished #askmehowiknow

My cards use a few retiring products.  Lovely As A Tree stamp set, Silver Embossing Paste, Tranquil Tide card stock (I’m really going to miss you Tranquil Tide), Tranquil Textures DSP and Basic Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon.

Here’s some close ups of the Silver Embossing Paste, it looks so much better in real life than in my photos.

#stampin_cat #esad #lovelyasatree #silverembossingpaste #tramquiltextures #stampinup

Do you like my sentiment?  It’s from the current set Itty Bitty Greetings and I’ve silver heat embossed it on Tranquil Tide card stock.  It seemed like a fitting sentiment for a stamp set that’s been loved for so long.

Marvi was not sure which card was his favourite.  He looks a bit confused.

Hello and welcome to my blog.  The ESAD March 2019 Blog Hop is the first of two Blog Hops I’m participating in tonight.  I’m hopping with 17 other fabulous demonstrators showcasing the 2019 Occasions and SAB Catalogues.  You may have come from Siobhan’s amazing project, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

Tonight I’m using the Needlepoint Nook Suite and teaming it up with the Butterfly Elements , free with any $90 purchase.  Who doesn’t like free things, I know I sure do.

I started out making just one card but I liked the layout so much I thought I’d try it in a few different colours.  Which one is your favourite?

The first card is using the pretty flowery DSP from Needlepoint Nook with the sentiment stamped on vellum.  I just love the floral stitching design on the background.

#stampin_cat #esad #needlepointnook #butterflyelements #sab #diy #handmadecard #stampinup

For the next three cards I’ve used the solid bolder side of the DSP.  This one is Night of Navy.

And Poppy Parade

I’ve used up most the the Butterfly Elements on other cards but I had plenty of flowers and leaves left over so I’ve added one of each of them to all my cards.  The sentiments are White Heat Embossed on the last three cards.

My lovely assistant Marvi likes to pose for photos, especially for the ESAD Blog Hops.  He definitely thinks it’s all about him and not the cards.  He struck a lovely pose today but as soon as my back was turned………….

Ha Ha, look what I did Mum!  Can you see him laughing at me?

It’s time to hop over and see what lovely Monique has created.

ESAD 2019 Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration Blog Hop

Stampin' Cat ESAD Forever Lovely Sale-a-bration Foil Sheet Stampin' Up!

ESAD 2019

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today I’m joined by 21 fabulous Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators for a Blog Hop featuring products from the new 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogues.  You may have hopped over from the lovely Denise Buetler, thanks for continuing on with me.

Occasions 2019

SAB 2019

I’ve been through these catalogues many times and there’s so many amazing new products.  I had a hard time choosing which bundle to use for my project.  I eventually decided to use the Forever Lovely bundle on page 5 of the Occasions Catalougue and I’ve teamed it up with the gorgeous Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

Here’s how you can earn these gorgeous Foil Sheets for free.

My assistant, Marvi, was pleased to pose for photos today.  He’s been on his best behaviour since I caught him unwrapping the dogs Christmas present.  Click on the link below to see how naughty he was.

I’ve made two cards for tonights blog hop, both using the Forever Lovely Bundle.

Stampin' Cat ESAD Forever Lovely Sale-a-bration Foil Sheet Stampin' Up!

The first card is a Z Fold Card.  The Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet has been die cut with a die from the Lovely Flowers Edgelits Dies.  That’s a whole lot of lovely.  This die embosses as well as cuts, if you look really closely you’ll see the embossing around the flowers.

I’ve also used some of the co-ordinating DSP, All My Love.

Stampin' Cat ESAD Forever Lovely Sale-a-bration Foil Sheet Stampin' Up!

I think this would make a lovely Valentine’s Day card.  I’ve used the sentiments from the Forever Lovely stamp set.

Stampin' Cat ESAD Forever Lovely Sale-a-bration Foil Sheet Stampin' Up!

The second card is using all the same products but it’s got twice as much loveliness with the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet bordering the top and bottom of my card.

I’ve added a Stitched Square in Soft Sea Foam behind my sentiment.

I’ve just noticed those “Tabby” legs in the background of my photo lol.

Next on tonight’s hop is Kim Oliver, I know you’re going to just love her project.
