CTC288 – Case a Kit Card or Project From Either Catalogue

Hello and welcome to my blog. I hope you’ve had a good week and got to spend some time crafting. Yesterday was world card making day and Marvi and I spent the day in my craft room, creating. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing a Kit Card Project from either catalogue. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve actually used the above graphic as my inspiration this week. All those squares of DSP really caught my eye but I wanted to do more than just adhere squares of DSP to my card. To give my card some extra interest I’ve used the Cathedral Window technique.

I’ve started with a Smoky Slate card base with layers of Seaside Spray and Whisper White. I’ve die cut several circles from the Feels Like Frost DSP using the third smallest circle from the Layering Circles Dies. Then I made a template from some thicker cardboard, sat it in the middle of the circle and folded the edges over.

I started out making a square card but the folded circles looked too regimented in rows so I made three longer rows, which actually determined the size of the finished card.

I’ve stamped the little flourish from the Lovely You stamp set in Purple Posy, added a few Woven Threads Sequins and a Silver Embossed sentiment.

Marvi enjoyed today’s photo shoot although I couldn’t get him to look at the camera. Even bribing him with food didn’t work.
It’s time to hop over and see Siobhan’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.
Thanks for stopping by.
