Colour INKspiration Challenge CI37

Stampin Cat CI37 Falling Flowers Stamparatus

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today’s card is for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge CI37. The challenge is to use 3 of the Brights Colours plus any basics or metallics.

I’ve used Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green and Whisper White.

Stampin Cat CI37 Falling Flowers Stamparatus

I’ve used two flowers from the Falling Flowers stamp set and the leaf image is from Jar of Love. I’ve used the Stamparatus to achieve this stamping in a circle look. Allison Okamitsu has a great Youtube video on this technique.

The largest white layer of card has been embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. It gives the card stock a lovely linen look.

The sentiment is from the Stitched All Around stamp set and has been layered with a Stitched Labels Framelits die cut.

As usual, my assistant Marvi was there to help. I don’t think he likes the Stamparatus much so he decided to sit on it. Or does that mean he loves the Stamparatus like I do?

CTC187 – Kids & Babies – Pages 80-91

My assistant Marvi chose the card I’m CASEing this week. While I was looking through the Catalogue for inspiration he decided to sit on it. Well, there was no moving him so the card on page 88 is the card I’ve CASEd. That’s his ” I’m not moving, Mum” face.

I’ve used a similar colour scheme, Calypso Coral, Grapefruit Grove and Pear Pizzazz.

My Grapefruit Grove layer has been embossed with the new Tufted 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I’ve also inked up the embossing folder to create the same pattern behind my sentiment.

The sentiment is from the Detailed With Love stamp set and punched with the Pretty Label Punch. The flowers are from Petal Palette. I’ve added a vellum banner and some Calypso Coral 1/4″ Ombre Ribbon behind the sentiment.

Some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and a Faceted Dot finished my card off nicely.

My inspiration comes from Patty Bennett and her Tropical Chic card. I’ve changed her measurements to suit Australian A4 card stock. If you’d like the measurements please send me a message and I’ll email them to you.

I’ve layered Animal Expedition DSP over Shaded Spruce card stock. My card base is Grey Granite. One of the many wonderful things about SU products is the co-ordination. Did you know the Animal Friends Thinlits co-ordinate with some of the animals on the DSP? That’s right, you can just die cut them straight from the DSP!!!

I’ve used the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies on some Wood Textures DSP then stamped the “Happy Birthday” from the Detailed With Love stamp set on some Whisper White card stock. I’ve cut around my sentiment then adhered it to the back of a Wooden Frames Element. The leaves are die cut from Animal Friends Thinlits in Shaded Spruce and Lemon Lime Twist.

Don’t you just love those cute little frogs sitting on a tree branch? I’ve been making a few cards with animals on them lately and Marvi, my assistant, has been keen to help. My poor Kangaroo and leaves didn’t stand a chance lol.
