Colour INKspiration Challenge CI39

Stampin' Cat CI39 Pick a Pennant A Little Wild Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my Blog.  Tonight’s card is for the Colour INKspiration Challenge CI39.  They are featuring the Subtles Collection for this challenge. You can pick any 3 Subtle colours.  You can also add in Whisper White, Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Metallics.

CI39

Friends of mine recently had a baby so I thought the Subtles would make a fabulous Baby Card.  Baby Sebastian Leon McEvoy, otherwise known as McSea Bass, was born on the 10th of August 2018 @11.36am.

The banners are from Pick a Pennant and are stamped in Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzaz and Pool Party then after stamping them I’ve embossed the card stock with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  Subtle colours, Subtle embossing folder, did you see what I did there lol?

Here’s a closer look at all that Subtleness.  As Bubs was born on the 10th of August I thought a Lion from A Little Wild was appropriate as he’s a Leo, just like me.  I stamped the lion in Pear Pizzaz and used my Blender Pen to pull some colour just on his mane.  The sentiment is from Baby Bear.  I’ve punched a Scalloped Tag in Soft Sea Foam and layered a Stitched Labels die cut behind it from Twinkle Twinkle DSP.

I hope you like tonight’s card.  Thanks for stopping by.

CTC191 – Nature’s Poem – Pages 142-153

Stampin' Cat CTC191 One Wild Ride Stampin' Up!

Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  This week our inspiration comes from the Nature’s Poem section, pages 142-153 of the Annual Catalogue.   You may have arrived here from Jackie’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve had a crazy busy week with family Birthday celebrations, work and classes.  I’ve been working 9 1/2 hour days with 6am starts then I had 2 classes on Friday.  I’ve barely had time to craft!!!

CTC191

I needed a quick male card that could be used for either a Birthday or for Father’s Day.  I’ve taken my inspiration from the green card in the above graphic.  Here’s a closer look at the card.

Annual Catalogue p142

Although this card could be suitable for a male card I still don’t own the Rooted In Nature Bundle………it’s on the list.  So I’ve used One Wild Ride instead.

My card base is Blueberry Bushel and I’ve stamped the sentiment randomly here, there and everywhere.  Then I’ve added some Best Route DSP and a thin strip of Mango Medley card stock that has been embossed with one of the Petal Pair Embossing Folders.

The bike has been stamped in Blueberry Bushel then die cut with a Stitched Shape Circle Framelit.  I’ve used the same colour ink for the sentiment on a Grey Granite banner.

CTC190

This week my inspiration comes from the green card on page 137 of the Annual Catalogue.

Tropical Chic is becoming one of my new favourite bundles.  Well…….it’s been added to my list of favourites……..I have several lol.  I’ve changed the colours but kept a similar layout.

I’ve used Basic Black as my card base with a layer of Lemon Lime Twist. I’ve stamped the squares from Swirly Frames on Whisper White.

My leaf images are stamped in Lemon Lime Twist then I’ve used a sponge dauber to add Shaded Spruce to my stamp before I’ve stamped it.  I think it’s an easy and effective technique.  I’ve used the baby wipe technique for the sentiment using Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive.

Next on tonight’s hop is Angela.  You’re going to just love her creation, click on the Next button to hop on over.
