The 2018 Holiday Catalogue has been live for a few days now.  What’s your favourite suite?  There’s lots to love in the Festive Farmhouse Suite.

I’ve used the “Merry Christmas ” card in the top right hand corner of page 12 as my inspiration this week.  Here’s a closer look.

I don’t actually have any of the products used in this sample so here is my version of this card using what I have.  That’s what’s so great about CASEing the Catty, you can use what you’ve got to re-create the samples.

My card base is Tranquil Tide with a layer of Grey Granite which has been embossed with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder.  I’ve got some Copper Foil peeking out from behind the Grey Granite.  Next I’ve layered two pieces of the gorgeous new Tranquil Tide 1/4″ Velvet Ribbon.

I have several layers behind my sentiment.  First I fussy cut the wreath image from Petal Promenade DSP, a Stitched Shape Square in Gray Granite, a square of Joyous Noel Specialty DSP, a Stitched Label Circle in Tranquil Tide, a sliver of Tranquil Tide Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper then the sentiment from Peaceful Noel stamped in Tranquil Tide.  I’ve also added a tiny bow of Glimmer Paper die cut from Bouquet Bunch Framelits.

My assistant, Marvi, was not wanting to help today.  He really wanted me to rub his tummy instead.

Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  Firstly, Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s out there.   It’s been another busy week at my house.  I’ve been working double the amount of hours per week at my regular day job, it was my parent’s 55th Wedding Anniversary on Friday, my youngest sister’s Birthday on Saturday and Father’s Day today.  My partner has had Man Flu all week and Marvi didn’t do so good at his latest weigh-in on Friday, he’s gained weight and is back up to 7.19 kg.

The 2018 Holiday Catalogue starts in just 3 days time, woohoo.  Have you got your copy yet???  There’s so much gorgeousness in this Catalogue, you’re going to love it.

I wasn’t sure if I was ready to start making Christmas cards yet, I mean it’s just the beginning of September but Christmas will be here before we know it.  There’s only 114 sleeps until Christmas!!!!!

The first Bundle to go on my Wish List was Dashing Deer so the card I’ve CASEd tonight is the Reindeer card on page 9.

I’ve chosen to use the very non-traditional colours of Black, White and Pink.

My card base is Thick Whisper White card stock.  I’ve used White Embossing Powder with two of the sentiments from Dashing Deer on the Basic Black piece.  The Reindeer’s body has been Heat Embossed in Silver and his antler’s Heat Embossed in Black.

My Reindeer is sitting on a Silver Foil and a Black Foil (p49 2018 Holiday Catty) Everyday Label cut out.  I’ve also added some Berry Burst 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon and some stamping in Basic Black.

Marvi appeared very bored with my card this week, if he can’t eat it he’s not interested.
