CTC162 – Sweet Soirée – Pages 10-14

Hi and welcome to our CASEing the Catty Sunday night Blog Hop. There’s only 10 days left until I move house. I’ve signed a contract on a new house at Pelican Waters. My initial reason for moving was to downsize. I’ve managed to downsize the land from 1/2 an acre to 400m. The house hasn’t really downsized but in my new house I’ll have a room permanently set up for my classes. I can’t tell you how much work that will save me!!!!!!

Thanks for hopping over from Sandra. This week we are CASEing Sweet Soirée Pages 10-14 of the 2018 Occasions Catalogue.

I’m CASEing the card in the top right hand corner of page 12.

I’ve changed the colours of my card but the basic layout is the same.

I’ve used a Basic Black Card base with another Basic Black piece embossed with Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder.

I’ve used my Stampin’ Write Markers to colour the cake image from Cake Soiree. The banner under the cake is from the new Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP.

The leaves, flower and Silver Foil piece are all die cut with the matching Sweet Cake Framelits. For the sentiment I’ve just inked up part of the stamp with my Markers.

ESAD 2016 Holiday Catalogue Favourite Products Blog Hop

I had so much positive feedback from the last blog hop I thought I’d join in again. You may have hopped over to me after seeing Cathy Pinchbeck’s great project. Make sure you follow all the links to see everyones blog in this hop.

I’m using the Cookie Cutter Christmas Bundle for my card today. I just love the Teddy Bear from this stamp set and I’ve combined him with Santa, the Gingerbread Man and Eskimo to make a waterfall card.

Waterfall Card

I used Garden Green as my card base and layered it with the cute star DSP from Warmth & Cheer. I stamped all my images with Archival Black Ink on Crumb Cake card stock.

I’ve used the Gold Wink of Stella to highlight a small part of each character and I’ve used the Kraft Rope Trim at the end of my tag. Every card needs a bit of bling so I gave my Teddy Bear a bow tie and my Gingerbread Man a heart using Gold Glimmer Paper. I also added a couple of gold stars to the front of the card to tie in with the stars on the DSP.

As you need 3 hands to photograph a waterfall card in action I asked my assistant, Marvi, if he could help me. At first he tried with his paw……. Marvi Paw

But that didn’t really work so he looked at the card and thought about it for a while………

After replacing the Kraft Rope Trim I decided I had enough pictures of my card. Thanks Marvi!!
