Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the colours of Floral In Bloom DSP. The colours in the DSP are Darling Duckling, Petunia Pop, Secret Sea, Strawberry Slush, Summer Splash and Timid Tiger. I’ve used a card on page 81 of the Annual Catalogue as my inspiration, using all of the above six colours.

I’ve just received the Notes & Totes bundle and was excited to use it this week for my CASE.

My card base is Thick Basic White followed by a layer of Basic White which has been embossed with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder. I have die cut my “tote” from some Unbounded Beauty DSP and White Heat Embossed the Happy Birthday from the Round We Go stamp set directly onto the DSP. The trim on the tote is die cut in Darling Duckling and the scarf is die cut from some 2024-2026 In Colour DSP.

I’ve used Secret Sea, Timid Tiger, Strawberry Slush and Petunia Pop for the hibiscus flowers. I have die cut a lotion bottle from some window sheet, colouring the back of the window sheet with a Summer Splash Blend. The love heart glasses are die cut from Secret Sea.

Marvi was outside seeking the sun, as usual. The temperature has noticeably cooled down here in Queensland so Marvi is looking for sun wherever he can find it. Even in the middle of summer you’ll find him lying in the sun.

I’m using the Blooming Phrases Online Exclusive stamp set for my project.

The project I’m CASEing uses Lemon Lime Twist, can I admit I’m really out of my comfort colour zone using Lemon Lime Twist.

I’ve changed up my project by using a Pretty Peacock card base followed by a layer of Lemon Lime Twist. I’ve arranged four of the stamps from Blooming Phrases on one acrylic block, inked them up with Versamark and stamped randomly all over another piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock. Then I’ve Clear Heat Embossed the images and with a blending brush added some Blueberry Bushel ink all over the card stock. I then wiped off any excess ink on the embossed sections and had my very own version of DSP.

I couldn’t believe how Blueberry Bushel ink over Lemon Lime Twist card stock matched with Pretty Peacock so perfectly. I’ve splattered my “DSP” with some Wink Of Stella to give it some shine and shimmer. I’ve added some Basic White Baker’s Twine behind the sentiment. The sentiment is White Heat Embossed and die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Marvi doesn’t use his bed very often, every surface of the house is a bed to him. When I went looking for him to take a photo I couldn’t actually find him. His bed is usually the last place I look.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Last week I missed the blog hop as I was helping out at my local sporting club over the long weekend here in Queensland. We had a three day long competition with 71 competitors. I was in the office totalling and entering all of the scores, it was a huge weekend.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing anything from the new 2025-2026 Annual catalogue. You may have hopped over from Judy’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I started at the back of my catalogue and only got to page 122 when I found the project I was going to CASE.

I’ve CASEd the floral box at the top of the above image.

My card base is Thick Basic White followed by another layer of Basic White that has been stamped with some small black dots. I’ve used the Spring Corners stamp set for the dots. Next I’ve die cut three flowers from Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Cloud Cover card stock using the Impressions Abloom dies.

I’ve die cut some Basic Black card stock for the flower centres, tied a Basic Black twine bow and used Memento Black to stamp the sentiment, which is from the Simply Said stamp set.

Marvi was not co-operating for a photo this week. He felt he deserved some food or a treat in exchange for a picture. This is the best picture I could get, apologies as it’s a little blurry.
