CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge

This week’s CASEing the Catty’s Challenge is to CASE a card from the Holiday section of the 2017/2018 Occasions Catalogue pages 112-125.

I decided to CASE the cute little bag on page 119.

I recently bought the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and I wanted to try them out on my favourite DSP, Wood Textures.

I’ve used my second favourite DSP, Bundle of Love, for the banner and die cut a cute flower from Eastern Medallions.  I’ve added a sentiment from the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set and some Mini Gold Sequin Trim.  Too much gold????

This weeks Challenge at CASEing the Catty is to CASE a card from the Babies and Kids section of the 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue, pages 102-111.

There are so many cute cards in this section.  I’ve chosen the “Baby Bear” card on page 110.

I’ve made 3 versions of this card using Bundle of Love Specialty DSP.

The gold version of this card is my favourite.

The pink is great too.

And blue…….I just love them all.  Which one is your favourite?

I’ve used the Eastern Medallions Thinlits to create a “Doily” behind my bear and added some Gold Natural Trim.

This weeks CTC Challenge is to CASE the Love & Sympathy section of the 20107/2018 Annual Catalogue.  I found it difficult this week as there’s so many beautiful cards in this section.  I didn’t know which one to CASE!

I decided to case the “Love is in the Air” card on page 88.

I’ve CASEd the design but changed the colours.  I thought this card would look great in some of the new In Colours.  I used Powder Pink, Berry Burst and Fresh Fig for my flowers.

I love how you can see through the Bloomin’ Heart.  The new Marbled Background stamp looks amazing in Pool Party ink.

I die cut a Heart out of my card base then attached a beautiful Blooming’ Heart behind it.  I die cut another Blooming’ Heart out of Whisper White then used the small butterfly die from the Butterflies Thinlits to cut a butterfly out of my heart.  Then I attached that to a Powder Pink butterfly.  So the pattern on my butterfly is the same as the pattern of the heart.

The sentiment is from Number of Years stamp set.  If you look really closely you’ll also see some Silver Metallic Thread behind the butterfly.

I love the Challenges at CTC.  I’d never really noticed this card in the catalogue before.  I like how this card turned out so much everyone will be making it in my  class this week.  I hope they like it as much as I do.
