Hello and welcome to my blog. Queensland has gone into a 3 day lockdown as of 4pm yesterday. I think that’s a great reason to make cards, what do you think? This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the front cover of the July – December Mini Catalogue.
You may have hopped over from Tina’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

There’s only one card on the front cover but I’m sure everyone will interpret it differently and create some amazing projects.

I’ve started with a Crumb Cake card base then added another layer of Crumb Cake that I embossed with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. Have you seen the Merriest Moments Bundle in the Mini Catty? You can put one of the dies inside the embossing folder and die cut and emboss at the same time. How clever is that?
Next I embossed and die cut a piece of Basic White and Granny Apple Green card stock. There’s also another die in this bundle that then die cuts all the little details around the embossed leaves and holly. I snipped a few leaves off my Basic White piece so you can see the embossing on the Crumb Cake piece underneath. Then I snipped a few pieces off my Granny Apple Green piece and adhered them over the top of the Basic White piece.

I added a Misty Moonlight stitched die cut then stamped a sentiment from the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set and die cut it with a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. I also added a Gold Holly Leaf and some Fine Art Ribbon.

Marvi was posing very nicely this week. It must mean he likes my card.
It’s time to hop over and see Michelle’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.

Your card is wonderful! Your layering is fabulous, and I love that the background for your sentiment is blue. A really lovely touch. All the best for the lockdown, I hope it isn’t extended x
Love the three tone embossing behind the sentiment – this is such a great idea! Gorgeous
Great card. All of the elements work well together. Nice posing Marvi. Hope you are surviving lockdown.
