Hello and welcome to my blog. I’m back this week for another CASEing the Catty blog hop. I missed last week as my whole family went away for a three day weekend to celebrate my fathers 92nd birthday. We all had such a great weekend.
We have a sketch challenge this week. We’re CASEing the sketch on page 58 of the Annual Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve made my version of this card a Christmas Card. I don’t make many Christmas cards in the traditional red and green colours but I just love how it’s turned out.

My card base is Thick Basic White followed by a layer of regular Basic White. Then I’ve cut two more panels of Basic White and embossed them with the Bricks & Mortar 3D embossing folder. I’ve added some colour to the background by flicking my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write marker and my Wink of Stella all over it.

The Poinsettia flowers have been fussy cut from the Boughs of Holly DSP. I do enjoy fussy cutting but this was a little difficult, let’s just say there were casualties when cutting around the little berries. I’ve added some Silver Simply Elegant trim behind the flowers. The sentiment if from the Brightest Glow stamp set and has been die cut using the Labels Aglow Dies.

Mr Marvi has been like a shadow since I left him home alone last weekend. My lovely friend Cheryl popped in to feed him and give him cuddles but he missed his Mum.
It’s time to hop over and see Rebecca’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.
We’d love for you to join our challenge. Click below and send us a request to join then just upload your new creation to the wall.
Thanks for stopping by.

Oh I love this card. I love the bright colours of the poinsettia against the more subtle background of the bricks with splatters. I’m sure Marvi is very happy to have you home.
