CTC145 – Merry Little Christmas – Pages 10-19

Hi and welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop.  It’s been another exciting week at my house.  A few weeks ago I was evacuated from my home because of a bush fire.  This week I was catching a snake in my bathroom.  My lovely assistant, Marvi, thought he’d bring me a gift!!!  I think a lot of snakes have lost their homes after the bushfire as many of my neighbours have seen snakes around our neighbourhood.  Luckily it was only a harmless tree snake.

You may have just hopped over from Fi, thanks for continuing on with me.  This week we are CASEing the Merry Little Christmas section, pages 10-19 of the new 2017 Holiday Catalogue.

I’ve chosen to CASE the top right card on page 14.

My favourite colours are black and white and my favourite Stampin’ Up! colour is Old Olive.  When I saw the Merry Little Christmas DSP I new I had to have some.  My three favourite colours in a DSP………..it’s like Stampin’ Up! have made it especially for me lol.

I’ve changed the colours and the orientation of the card.

How cute is this little gold deer?  He’s from the Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies.   Old Olive 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon was a perfect addition.

I’ve sponged White Craft Stampin’ Ink around my trees.  The Black and White DSP is the new Merry Music Specialty DSP.

I hope you like my card today.  Now it’s time to welcome back Kelly and hop over and check out her amazing card.

JOS #005 Challenge – The Letter “J”

JOS #005

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today’s card is for The Joy of Sets Challenge #005 – The Letter “J”.   You may use any Stampin’ Up! stamp set, new or retired, but there’s a twist.   There will be a new letter selected each fortnight and that letter must be in the name of the stamp set you use.  For this challenge the letter is “J”.

I only have one stamp set that fits this criteria and it’s called Jar of Love.

I’ve made a waterfall card using Sweet Sugarplum card stock and the now retired Blooms and Bliss DSP.

When you pull on the ribbon each white panel flips over to reveal something different in the jar.  It’s very hard to take a video of this when you are home by yourself.  You have to hold the card with one hand, pull the ribbon with another hand……….hang on, there’s no hands left to hold the camera!!!

Photo’s will just have to do.

CTC144 – Quilted Christmas – Pages 4-9

Stampin' Cat CTC144 Quilted Christmas

Hello everyone and welcome to another CASEing the Catty Crew Blog Hop.  We are a group of demonstrators who love to take our inspiration from the amazing Stampin’ Up! Catalogues.  Each week we choose a different section of the Catalogue to CASE.

This week we are CASEing Quilted Christmas pages 4-9 from the new 2017 Holiday Catalogue.  You may have hopped over to me from Monique.  How gorgeous was her card?  Be sure to hop around to all of the blogs, you won’t want to miss a single project.

I’ve chosen to CASE the red card at the top of our graphic.

I’ve layered the Star Quilt shape three times in Basic Black, Whisper White and Silver Foil card.  Traditionally these star’s would have card/fabric pieced into them but I’ve kept them just as an outline.

I love the stitched pattern on the Quilted Christmas DSP.  It’s a very subtle pattern and matches the design of my stars perfectly.

I’ve used a white gel pen to add a stitched look to my holly leaves and my holly is punch in Red Glimmer Paper with the Holly Berry Builder Punch.

Marvi CTC144

I think Marvi was checking out the new Quilted Christmas Ribbon or maybe he was trying to pull off my stars.

Next up is Julia.  Just click on the next button and it will take you to her wonderful project.
