CTC390 – Case the Colours of Santa Express DSP

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing the colours of the Santa Express DSP, Poppy Parade, Petal Pink, Granny Apple Green, Evening Evergreen, Shaded Spruce and Mint Macaron. I’ve CASEd the card in the bottom right hand corner of the above graphic. I’ve only used used two of the challenge colours, Evening Evergreen and Petal Pink.

My card base is Evening Evergreen followed by a layer of Lights Aglow SDSP. I’ve added a small piece of Petal Pink which has been embossed with one of the Charming Landscapes Embossing Folders. I thought the small dot detail matched the bokeh dots of the DSP. Then I’ve added a Basic White circle to layer the presents on.

I’ve die cut the presents from some Lights Aglow SDSP and Texture Chic SDSP. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Deer stamp set and is Gold Heat Embossed. I’ve added a gold foil layer and a white layer to the bottom of my sentiment. I’ve also added a few of my favourite embellishments, For Everything Fancy Sequins.

Mr Marvi was looking for a snack, he’s never far away when someone is in the kitchen. If he’s out in the back yard and I want him to come inside all I have to do is open the freezer door and he comes running in. Ever hopeful for some ice cream lol.

CTC359 – Case A Die Project

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing a Die Project from either Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve CASEd a card from the top right hand corner of page 35 of the Mini Catalogue.

I’ve used a different colour palette than the sample card and I love how it’s turned out.

My card base is Thick Basic White with a layer of Simply Marbleous DSP from SAB. I’ve used the large die from Detailed Dahlias to die cut the intricate flower layer. I stamped a Dahlia in Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape then die cut them also, and adhered them to the back of my intricate layer. I’ve also added some die cut leaves stamped in Evening Evergreen.

The sentiment is from the Dahlia Days stamp set and is die cut using the Tasteful Labels Dies. I’ve also added a few tiny flowers and some Basic Rhinestones.

Marvi is looking a little cranky today, maybe because I woke him up to take this photo. 20 hours of sleep a day just isn’t enough for him lol.

CTC376 – Case The Mini Catalogue

Hello and welcome to my blog. It’s been an exciting week in my household. It was my partner’s Birthday on Wednesday then Thursday was the last day of the financial year, Happy EOFY everyone, I hope you all celebrated (who says accountants are boring lol). And on Friday the new July-December 2022 Mini Catty and July-Aug 2022 SAB started. Does it get any better than that?

To celebrate the new Mini Catty we’re CASEing from it this week. There’s so much inspiration in this Mini, I found it hard to choose a project. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

Even though the new Mini Catty is packed full of beautiful Christmas creations, I’m not quite ready for Christmas yet, I mean we are only 3 days into July. I’ve CASEd the “hello” card on the right hand side of page 58.

I don’t have the DSP or dies used in the sample card so I improvised and used what I had, that’s what CASEing the Catty is all about.

My card base is Basic Grey followed by layers of Basic Black and Abigail Rose DSP. My next Basic White layer has been die cut with a Layering Circles Die then embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. The leaves have been die cut from the Natural Prints Dies and the Splendid Stems Dies.

The sentiment is from the Shaded Summer stamp set and is White Heat Embossed. I’ve also added a Baker’s Twine bow and some For Everything Fancy Sequins.

Mr Marvi was outside watching some ants crawl up the wall, he’s having an exciting week too lol. He’d normally be fast asleep in the sun.
