Stampin' Cat CTC210 Butterfly Gala Well Said Stampin' Up!

CTC Sunday Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog.  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.  It’s going to be another great year at CASEing the Catty.  We’ve got new graphics, new crew members and a brand new Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogue.  We’re kicking off the New Year by CASEing from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue.

You may be starting with me or you may have hopped over from Siobhan’s gorgeous creation.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

There’s so many gorgeous samples in the Sale-a-bration Catalogue.  I decided to CASE the “Hello Friend” card on page 9.

I’ve changed up the colours but left the layout fairly similar.

Stampin' Cat CTC210 Butterfly Gala Well Said Stampin' Up!

I’ve used the opposite side of the Botanical Butterfly DSP than the sample card.  It’s adhered to a Basic Black card base.  I’ve added a border from the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper along the top and bottom of my DSP, just to make it stand out a bit better.  Then I’ve added a layer of Vellum Card Stock which has been die cut with the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits.

I’ve stamped 4 butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and coloured selected parts of the wings with my Pineapple Punch and Granny Apple Green Markers.  The sentiment is from the Well Said Bundle.  I attached a piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to my card stock before I die cut the word “wishes”.  This Bundle was the first thing on my wish list and I can see I’m going to get lots of use out of it.

Next up tonight is Tina’s beautiful project.  Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.

Beautiful case, Peta! I love how we cased the same card but our cards are totally different.

I love what you’ve done with this CASE, Peta. The colours are so striking and that little touch of colour on the stamped butterflies is beautiful.

Beautiful card Peta – so much detail – and one of my favourite colour combinations! I must try this with the black & white side of the DSP. Kelly x

Oh, this is so cool! I love the dramatic effect of the white border pieces, a great way to frame those beautiful butterflies.

Awesome Peta! Love it and the simplistic colouring rather than filling it all in, which I’m going to have to try!. Fabulous
