Hello and welcome to my blog. It’s been a wonderful week here in Queensland. The temperature has finally cooled down to just under the 30 degree mark and we’ve finally had some rain. I don’t mind at all being woken up in the middle of the night to the sound of rain on the roof.
This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing from the Gingham Gala section, pages 34-37. You may have arrived here from Michelle’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve taken my inspiration from the Humming Bird card on page 36.
I’ve changed the colours and used a different image but I think you’ll be able to see where I was going with this card.
My card base is Basic Gray then on a piece of water colour paper I’ve die cut the diamond pattern with a die from Eclectic Layers Thinlits then added a water colour wash in Grapefruit Grove. I’ve used a Basic Gray Stampin’ Write Marker and Wink Of Stella to add some “splatter” to the background.
The Dragonfly has been die cut in Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet and layered onto a Basic Gray Dragonfly. The sentiment is from Dragonfly Dreams and is stamped on Petal Pink card stock. I’ve added some Very Vanilla Solid Baker’s Twine and some Iridescent Sequins.
Next up tonight is Julia’s beautiful project. Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
Thanks for stopping by.
