Hello and welcome to my blog. Is it just me or does Sunday seem to roll around so quickly? The good thing about that is that we get to share our weekly creations with you. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing from pages 168-169 of the Annual Catalogue, the Punch Bundle Pages. You may have hopped over from Tina’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve CASEd the card at the top of the above graphic but I’ve made it a Christmas card.
I’ve used Basic Black for my card base followed by a layer of Whisper White then Basic Gray. I’ve Heat Embossed some holly leaves using White Embossing Powder then I’ve used the spotty stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set and Versamark to create the background.
I’ve used a panel of Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper layered over some Basic Gray card stock. I wish that you could feel how plush this really feels. The flocked designs on white vellum truely are devine. I’ve tucked some Real Red 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon behind this panel and added clusters of Red Rhinestones to my holly leaves. The sentiment is White Heat Embossed on Basic Black card stock and comes from the Peace & Joy stamp set.
Marvi was happy to pose for a quick photo today. He’s been loving Mike’s (my friends dog I’ve been looking after) inside bed but sadly Mike will be going home soon. I will miss him but Marvi will only miss his bed.
It’s time to hop over and see Shannon’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.
Thanks for stopping by.
Clever CASE, Peta. Love the pops of red you added. Sounds like Marvi is angling for a new bed :).
This is so pretty, I love the white embossing on the dark card stock. The flocked paper looks gorgeous, and I am really loving the texture it gives to projects.
That’s a dramatic Christmas card, so different in those colours.
I love this, Peta. So classy and elegant. The background stamping really adds extra interest without distracting from the beautiful white leaves. Beautiful!
The Versa mark detail is awesome. And wow! Black for a Christmas card! How amazing is that! All the details are fabulous.
I love the combination of the flocked DSP and embossed holly leaves. Great card.
At first glance, your card looks simple but there’s so many stunning details. I love the non- traditional colour combo too!!
