CTC Sunday Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog. It’s been a busy week with work, craft catch ups and family birthdays. I’ve finally got my car back from the smash repairs, all fixed and looking shiny and new.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the colours of “Trimming The Town” DSP. The colours are Early Espresso, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, Pool Party, Poppy Parade and Whisper White. You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

These are colours that I wouldn’t normally use together and I don’t think Christmas at all when I see these colours. I challenged myself to use all of the colours and make a Christmas card with them. Poppy Parade doesn’t get much use in my craft room because I think a little Poppy Parade goes a long way, it’s so bright. With that being said I really love how this card turned out.

The card base is Early Espresso with layers of Whisper White and In Good Taste DSP. I’ve used the Wreath Builder Dies to die cut an Old Olive leaf wreath and a Poppy Parade sprig wreath. I snipped the leaf wreath in one place then wove it around the sprig wreath and hid the join under the flowers.

The flowers are die cut in Misty Moonlight and Pool Party and I’ve added some Whale of a Time Sequins to their centres. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas and is White Heat Embossed.

Marvi was soaking up the sun again this week but I didn’t disturb him. He didn’t even open his eyes to look at my card.

It’s time to hop over and see Shannon’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.
